Watching this video with my New Surface Laptop 4. The most fantastic Laptop I've ever had. Love it.
Good purchase. I've got a SL2 that's still going strong two years later.

@@floydrespecter2483 I got the i7 with 32 GB of RAM. So far I absolutely love it!
I still have the original Surface Book, and soon after I got it I bought the Surface Dock. It provides all of the functionality of the dongles you recommend and connects to Surface laptops via the proprietary charge port. I see there's a Surface Dock 2 now that is $30 cheaper than the original ($169US). The dock has always worked great, and I leave it on my desktop when I traveled since the OEM charger was adequate when I was on the road.

I use the same Anker USB-C dongle to make my surface book 3 effective work machine. I've plugged my Logitech webcam, 29" monitor, and logitech USB receiver for keyboard & mouse into it. Thanks to Parallels I typically just leaved it plugged in as a desktop and travel with my 2014 MacBook air. With the weight of the screen/tablet the Surface book always feels out of balance to me when using as a laptop.
I'm not a Surface user (Bought a Macbook Air M1, thanks in part to a lot of your videos) I recently replaced my Magic Keyboard (the small version) with the Logitech MX Keys keyboard. Beautiful design, silent keys, auto (and smart) backlight feature... You should definitely give it a try (kinda pricey, but does have a premium feel).
Love the pebble mouse, but check out the Keycron K4 with the blue gateron switches. It is so crispy I find reasons to type more now.

Just chance upon this channel, i'm using the logitech K780+M340 mouse. Paired up with my Macbook AIR M1, totally agree with you, feels very nice typing on this keyboard, the M340 works very well too! I bought a dongle with Ethernet port too..truely can save my life!
Silly question but what are my internet options if no wifi is available and mobile Hotspot isn't an option?

Gaming performance please ............. have you problems with the AMD model ? Does amd reserve ram for the integrated video ? This is a real issue???

IMHO The Surface Dock is a must if you use your Surface Laptop professionally. A single connection - and you're ready to rock! It's a bit on a pricey side, but the upside is that it's backwards compatible to pretty much entire Surface lineup, so for upgrading users that's a big advantage.

Honestly - just get the surface dock. Well worth it if you WFH. I have never understood the complaints about the keyboard - i love it.
Yup, one of the big pros of this laptop is the keyboard. Why buy the surface laptop if you gonna use a different keyboard after all?

i dont think you can charge the surface 65 watts on usbc, it can only be done using the proprietary one.
yes you are correct. However, charging over usb C is better for the battery. And you should enable battery limit in the bios. it will allow the battery to have well over 10 years lifetime.

I want to get a really good laptop to get me through high school and a bit of college, I have choices of:
- Newest Macbook Air base model
-Microsoft book 2
-Microsoft laptop 2,3 or 4 depending on price
-Microsoft surface go
- and other laptops in the range of my budget.
Please help me out, my budget is like no more than 600$, I said the macbook air because that would last me more for the price I am paying.
okay i’m starting college this year and i’ve had a mac since my sophomore year and it’s almost completely out of storage and the only way that i can add any storage on is to reset the model or delete things. if you’re expencting the laptop to last you some years invest in something that you can add storage to! i’m “upgrading” from my macbook air to a surface and the tech department at my school has talking to me about adding more storage to a laptop by paying a little bit more. but atleast u have the option to add storage if u need it whereas with a mac you don’t have that option at all.

this video completely digusts me, he is so obviously paid to brag about these completely crappy products. I mean, the surface book types WAY WAY better than the MX keyboard, and even the touchpad is nicer to use than THAT mouse, its REALLY THAT BAD. And why go with a USB dongle, when you can get a full blown thunderbolt-similar surface dock that completely blows everything else off the table.
Never bring a cloth with you, it grows full of bacteria, it collects more dust that your screen will!

Well if you dont get a mac, thinkpad or surface, you will definetely need an external keyboard, or you will get keys falling off within a few months of use. and that is really true.
on a surface, i would prefer to use the integrated keyboard actually. they should also last long.

Surface is shitty hardware
they perform better than their specs, and last as long as macbooks. You can only say that about thinkpad. Everything else is throwaway products. They are also the only 3 brands that dont get their keys to fall off. and the comfort is better than on other brands. If you really need to work on these devices, then surface will save you so much stress. I agree there is faster specs, but surface provides better performance from the same chips as other vendors do. For example, their 1185g7 cpu runs at 28 watts, and has the same speed as a desktop processor. Thinkpad did put a real desktop processor in to compensate for it. And i dont prefer that!
Surface is high quality, and great value, with very high ergonomics. They are truly business and working machines. Only a gamer would say that it sucks. The kind of person who filters on a comparison site, and only compares specs, and then has their laptop fail within 2,5 years of light use. which is the new norm for throwaway consumer products like HP, Acer, Dell.. Even their XPS line is having serious quality control issues, which used to be their best business model.
Going for a business grade computer is always worth it. If you dont want to degrade in gaming specs, then you should get a desktop anyway.
