Really Good Review Mr. David. I think the Camera is Improved over the Surf Laptop 3. I would like to see a Comparison betwen the Intel Processor & the AMeD Processor of the Surf Laptop 4.
The 720p camera is actually not too bad on this laptop. Wonder what Microsoft does to make it look halfway decent.
Great laptop and I really want it, but my main choice is Alcantara or Metal chassis.
I live in Japan and unfortunately there is no 13.5" with i-5 and 16 GB RAM version in a metal case.
Thus, is it worth to agree with the keyboard flex in the AMD version, and always keep in mind the simple idea that sooner or later the Alcantara will become dirty and lose its pristine appearance or pay 600 $ more and buy 15" metal case with i7 and 16 GB.
This is not an easy choice for me due to regional differences in the sale of Microsoft laptops.

Nice PC. Camera is okay but a 1080p would be better. Microphone sounded better than average. Noticed some wobbling on the screen when you put the pen to it. Would be nice to include an SD card slot. Great review.

How is this for graphic design ? I’m wanting to plug this into a usc c dock going into a 4K monitor.
Pro's & Con's are very similar to Macbook Air - I wonder if Microsoft used that template for this version and will update design in-line with the Air?
Overall, I prefer the Surface Books over the normal Surface laptops. Yes, the camera is improved but, You've said it, I've said it in other comments, everyone says it - 1080p should be an option for a 2021 internal laptop webcam. How is MSI beating everyone else in this area?

what does the ram management look like. if you have worked with it in everyday life, how much gb RAM did you use on average?
i'm one of the lucky few to be able to purchase a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro with the Ryzen 7 5600H and the OLED screen in our brick and mortar stores. i'm cross buying that and the Surface Laptop 4 (intel). Which do you reckon is a better buy?

I just bought this laptop but id give it (10:07) a 5 for ports and a 6-7 for price/value. Like how many less ports can there be lmao. Otherwise I love it, dont really care about the bezels although a wouldve appreciated a bigger screen with the same footprint, SL5 maybe?

Why are they always one generation behind on the CPUs?
I just bought this after 2 years with a Surface Laptop 2 and I am not really seeing any real difference. The surface 2 actually benchmarks higher for single core on battery! For my usage which is mainly office work and media I can't see the point in keeping it. Even with the £500 trade in.
it's really good laptop but display's reflection is annoying. It's like a mirror during the black screen. Is there any solution for this problem?

bought a surface laptop 4 (matte black, i7, 16gb, 512gb) for $800 in new condition. absolute steal. 11th gen intels run cooler & quieter than 12th gen. not missing much outside of thunderbolt on surface laptop 5. will upgrade whenever microsoft refreshes the line.

How’s the alcantara finish after a year or so?
I have a question about the alcantara fabric. Does it get dirty easily? I do not like the idea of fabric on my computer as I can be pretty careless. Is there option for platinum and metal instead of fabric for 13.5 inch model??

Too bad the screen doesn't open fully flat on a table, the surface laptop line really needs a 360 convertible like the dell xps 2 in 1 , in the meantime I will stick to my surface pro...

What kind of pens surface 4 suport?
Don't get the point about design. I got the 15" in black matte (metal) and it's easily the most stylish laptop I''ve ever had, coming from a Surface Book 1 that I used for about 5 years (never had any regrets). The bezels are just right for my taste, it's the first time I've heard someone complain about those. If anything, I'd dump the Alcantara nonsense, we all do know what those will look like in 1-2 years' time, don't we (not to mention the keyboard flex of that particular model). As far as ports are concerned, you guys are aware of the power connector being much more than just a charging connector, right? Have a look at Surface Dock 2 if you don't.

If youre doing basic tasks like browsing,watching youtube, work and meetings, its perfect.Programming , video editing or heavy Gaming will still be possible, but you will notice lag.If you are looking for a laptop for those things, you better go for 16gb.

Why are these reviewers so high maintenance? Your seriously not going to use a laptop just because it has a glossy display?
When did I say that? I prefer matte displays but use glossy displays quite a bit
Do not buy this crap if you want to use a 2nd screen the display output signal is not reliable. The great suggestion from MS was to try a wireless display.
