I own both the 226 SAO & 229 SAO both are the LE Legion versions, the grips are just a black version of the legion grips without the medallion. From what I heard is due to police dept's didn't want that medallion falling off and causing issues. Both of mines came with Romeo 1 Pro's on them. Get teh C&H precision plate for your red dot. I did that to put on my RMR.
Yeah, I have the 229,226DA/SA and 229,226SAO legions as well. They all came with the romeos, but I opted for the trijicon instead. It's a lot better. Really tough pick between my staccato but their all very nice firearms.
@@jsharp9735 with prices being as high as they have been lately at least in my area these models have all gone up in price. As for used in very good to mint $1100 but some areas may differ a bit.

This is the same setup im having done. Sig p229 legion, where i am currently getting the slide cut for a holosun 508t x2. My question is, do you have a co-witness with those surpressor sights, or will you need to eventually get co-witness sights (taller sights)?
One of the gun shops I do business with said that apparently the Legion medallion on the grips was a point of failure for duty use so Sig stopped manufacturing them with the medallion. All recently manufactured Legions going forward will have the G10 grips without the medallion.

I’ve been considering getting one. Only issue I run into is Safariland not making duty holsters for P226 or P229 with optic.

I found the DA/SA version on gunbroker, but listing says they’ll only sell to LE, Mil, or first responders…that is heartbreaking. 😢

Have you found a holster for this thing? I can’t find one with retention except a serpa with the index finger release but I need a thumb drive.
I got the leather holster on SIGs website.
I recently got one of these used but it only seems to have the holes for the Romeo One Pro.

You need taller sights to co witness with this optic.
You said "black nitrite". Doesnt Sig use cerakote on all legion pistols made after February 2019?

Should have went with the da/sa you get the best of both worlds.
