Thank you, guys, for being car guys and showing that side of the love we have for the LFA. It's one of my dream cars, and I'd love to drive it myself, but at least seeing this I feel like I have.

@@hansennaidoo growing up I was obsessed with the Supra, and when this was announced I felt like it was the new version of the Supra they made to take on supercars. Similar shape with the short rear end and long hood. A next gen Supra dialed up to 11 to take on lambos and Ferraris of the era. I feel like anyone who loved the MK4 back then got very excited about this car
A rather stupid comment form Clarkson really, its not like they lost the designs in a fire or anything. I know what he was getting at was that Lexus probably couldn't make a car as good but still. Also they are making a new one.
@@oskahuxley6322 I had to disagree, the topic is on brilliant cars, Lexus made the LC500, but it isn't as good as it. The difference? Cuz LFA spent years if not decades to reach perfection, thus justifying the price! They are of course making cars, your statement is basically saying sun rises from the East. What about I put it this way as an example: "The Peugeot racing cars such as the Rally cars are so good that not even the people who made them, know how to make them again." Do you agree this time?
You know the car is amazing when both Thomas and James looks like they're about to cry driving it. And ngl, I know next to nothing about cars but when I heard that sound, I understood what Harrison felt.

It is genuinely these type of videos that are the reason why I have been subscribed to this incredible team for so long. With such amazing production, it's almost criminal that this isn't a TV show. Thomas, James and the rest of the crew have worked hard to get to this point and the quality really reflects that grind
I don’t think a throttle house tv show would be the same, there’s always a middle man that fcks something up. This is raw content compared to a network series

This has to be at least the tenth time I’ve watched this. It’s comfort food, nostalgia, and car naughtiness all rolled into one. Can you have “classic” car reviews? This video make me think you can. That edit on the downshift at the end always gets me.
The LFA will remain a testament to an era of mechanical art that's already seeing its sunset. Watching these cars run now is like watching your love in their best years, still strong, alive and beautiful. I'm sure similar wistfulness has been expressed for various standouts across eras. Well, this one is ours.
That "sunset" depends on if we can get carbon-free fuels in quantity. I think a future where we get to reuse the engines we've built is probably a faster outcome then electrifying everything - and maybe a bit more fun.
I don't care what anyone says that is one of the best looking cars ever made. It may not be Italian beautiful but its stance, its presence and its design are a perfect balance of form, function and looks. It's up there with the 458 and Carrera GT.
I can't understand when people say it's ugly I personally like it's design it's crazy because I think the Lamborghini Veneno McLaren Senna and Bugatti Bolide are ugly imo very cool but ugly but I feel like everyone says something about this car because it's japanese
I know this video is two years old, but I’ve just watched this on my TV and it’s safe to say this is one of the most beautiful car review videos I’ve ever watched. Everything. Script, reactions, filming, everything. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Jeremy Clarkson made a profound comment after reviewing this super icon, "the LFA is sos good so much that not even the people that made it at Toyota know how to do it, again" how class is that ending, the most epic thing I've seen in motoring journalism...
hands down one of the best car reviews i have ever seen ... maybe even the best. the emotions they endured while driving was real. can b heard in thier voices and seen in thier eyes. felt as though i wass there in the car with both of them experiencing the same excitement and awe as they were. NICE...
What makes both stands out is how both the guys can love a supercar that just too whole for this world. Thomas and James looks like nearly cried driving this, and Clarkson excuses a new Lexus back then just to get the LFA on the talk for the rest of his show. Pretty awesome.
I remember watching that episode so vividly. The fact that the tac has to be digital because an analog tac couldn’t keep up with the speed the engine revs is insane. How could I forget

this car proves that whenever Toyota is determined, they'll absolutely nail it no matter how much time it takes because they like to do things right. They own the economy car sector, hybrid sector, truck sector and with this one car they've won hearts of millions around the globe. I see almost no negative comments about it on any video or from any person. I doubt any car other than the LFA has had that kind of an effect ever before. I hope they do it right with the next LFA too but it's guna be hard in a world of new emission standards and shrinking engine sizes. we might never see such a masterpiece ever again.

When Toyota sets its collective mind into creating a world-class car, it doesn't disappoint. If they had only treated the Supra to an all-Toyota effort. Great video.
If Toyota had actually taken the route of completely rebuilding the Supra from scratch then it wouldn’t have been cost effective considering how many they would’ve had to sell to justify the price tag. They had their reasoning for letting BMW basically do most of work for it, but it is a shame that as of now (in the US), the fastest vehicle Toyota makes which is actually from Toyota is the RAV4 prime. I’m assuming the new Tundra with the 3.5 liter twin turbo V6 and hybrid will be faster, but as of now, the fastest actual Toyota is a hybrid CUV (in the US). I don’t think it matters too much though. People don’t buy Toyotas because they think they’re fun to drive (the new lineup is actually pretty nice) or because they’re jam packed with all of these new features which a majority of people will never even use regularly. They buy these cars because they know it will last them a very long time with little to no trouble, and nobody wants to go out of their way to spend money on products that just don’t last
It’s sad I remember how bad they talked about this car when it launched. Never gave it a real chance. But now as all the car lovers that gets emotional when we seeing and hearing this car. We understood then , even more now. This is a special car. Imagine a Leno in the future reviewing this car. I’m glad to be a witness today. Awesome video.
This is such a perfect review for this car. The LFA truly is a masterpiece. This is the result of an auto manufacturer creating a car without limitations. I imagine the engineering team calling out the most outrageous/exciting features and the Lexus executives just being like "yes , sure ,why not" 😂

When Toyota sets its collective mind into creating a world-class car, it doesn't disappoint. If they had only treated the Supra to an all-Toyota effort. Great video.
It would have been an incredible car, no doubt. But fact is, that Supra would be a bad seller too :(
@@shahjalalalamabir5393 also as Toyota stated a fully in house developed Supra would have costed $90k
@@patrickmartin3322 at least it would’ve been good
If Toyota had actually taken the route of completely rebuilding the Supra from scratch then it wouldn’t have been cost effective considering how many they would’ve had to sell to justify the price tag. They buy these cars because they know it will last them a very long time with little to no trouble, and nobody wants to go out of their way to spend money on products that just don’t last
What about the GR Yaris?
