You miss some very important points and you have a wrong interpretation of Acts 10. Paul in his letter is talking to the gentiles. The old testament covenant was not with the gentiles but with the Israelites. And Jesus did not say "eat pork" or come to change the law. Peter's vision is allegorical and refers to the Holy Spirit that he will see come on Cornelius - and he reiterates this in the council of Jerusalem in Acts 15. Peter DID NOT EAT anything in the house of Cornelius and therefore it is not correct to say he was then allowed to eat whatever he liked, nor did he throughout his life. So in summary, gentiles were never required not to eat pork, the Jewish people were, and it is still binding on Jews, even those who follow Jesus.
That's incorrect actually. The Old covenant is replaced w. The New. Period. On that Roof the LORD TOLD PETER, "DO NOT CALL UNCLEAN WHAT I HAVE MADE CLEAN." There are applicable areas/doctrine both regarding people & STIPULATIONS from old 'restrictive' lifestyles the Jews had on them that Messianic Jews now do not struggle under. Acts 10, Understanding Peter’s Vision God gives Peter a vision in Acts chapter 10. This vision would begin to break down the separation that existed between believing Jews and god-fearing Gentiles. To this day, It’s a vision that is commonly misunderstood and generally misinterpreted. As we’ll learn, Peter’s vision isn’t about being able to eat unclean food, rather it’s about God accepting the Gentile believer coming into faith and community.
If you abstain from pork, yet reject Jesus Christ, you're still going to hell. Whatever you do, do to the glory of God. The kingdom of God is not about eating and drinking.
@@thereelreview9072No, it is not about following instructions. That's what Jesus critizied in the Jews. They followed the traditions and talked a lot in their prayers but didn't believe in him.

Jesus did not declare all foods clean. What you're referencing is something he said to Peter during his ministry, prior to his resurrection. Remember that even after Jesus's resurrection, Peter continued to never eat any unclean foods. If he had been taught by Jesus that all foods have been made clean while he was walking with Peter prior to the resurrection, then obviously Peter would have felt comfortable eating unclean foods from that point forward. Clearly he was not comfortable eating unclean foods from that point forward. So obviously Jesus did not say anything about declaring all foods clean by making a statement about what you put in your mouth is not as important as what comes out of your mouth. Later, after the resurrection, Peter is shown a scroll declaring, through symbology, that Gentiles are to be accepted and are no longer to be considered unclean. That passage has been misinterpreted by modern Christians to imply that he was declaring all foods clean. This is further worsened by the fact that a scribe added a parenthetical after that passage that says: "and by doing so he declared all foods clean". That is not at all what that passage says. It does not take a genius to see what the passage is saying. It is saying that the Gentiles were no longer to be thought of as unclean. And it used the symbology of animals, specifically unclean animals, to teach this to Peter. It had nothing to do with eating food. Just such a frustrating thing that Christians who want to eat in an unclean way cling to
There is surely connection between "Gentiles can be accepted" and "all foods are clean". Allowing people to eat their ancestors ate had surely played role in the spread of Christianity. Unlike semi-nomadic Semitic folks Europeans had long tradition of farming pigs and eating pork.
@@FalconfromRF Fair point, but it doesn't change pig meat from being unclean for human health to healthy. They are health laws. If one wishes to be healthy, the dietary laws lay out how to eat in a clean way for human health. There are probably many maladies to this day that are attributable to eating against the dietary laws, including leaving blood particles in meat (Heme iron) and mixing the hard fat of an animal in with ground meat like hamburger (we are forbidden from eating the hard fat of an animal as it is unclean for us). Hard fat is the fat that surrounds the meat, not the fat that is marbled into the meat. So 80/20 hamburgers are unclean according to the dietary laws because we mix animal lard into the meat (hard fat). It's probably contributing to heart disease along with the consumption of blood.
You know your thing, thanks for this. People dont read fully inorder to get contextual meaning of a chapter, and lack understanding of interpreters stylings.
Why are they so against eating pork and overlook some other stuff? Those same folks who condemn you for eating pork will go out and enjoy a seafood platter of shrimp, catfish, clams, and oysters. Which is all forbidden right there in the same passage that’s against eating swine The Bible says if you break one rule of the law you’re guilty of breaking the whole law. So, next time you order a pizza with sardines, go ahead and add some bacon on it.
thinking we can eat pork is a huge misunderstanding of the bible, and shows we never really understood the bible, these days people think trying to obey God is carnal, self righteous and sinful
I suspect its because Christianity was started in the middle east and by the time it spread to Europe it would have been difficult to convert Europe if you banned pork.
It has nothing to do with new or old Covenant. That law was never intended for the gentiles. You have to follow the law if you are chosen to carry the duty.
We are no longer under the law but under grace. Jesus taught don't be concerned with giant lists of laws but fix your heart. He explains its not what goes into a man that corrupts him but what comes out of a man. God doesn't want us burdened with laws but to understand we can't comply no matter how hard we try but he CAN help us fix our hearts.
that "we are no longer under the law" means that getting put to death for committing sin worthy of death is done away with. Teaching that the law is done away with is a dangerous teaching
You only follow the teachings of Jesus according to your lust. if there is a teaching contrary to your desires even in the bible you don't want to follow it. you are a follower of liars.@@kctechie
He also says that we are not to eat food sacrifice to idols. He says this in the book of Revelation. Which means, that the context of his message when he said that food that goes into the mouth and out the body does not make one spiritually unclean, is not all-encompassing. Obviously if he's telling us in Revelation that if we eat food sacrifice to idols it is an abomination to him then obviously food that goes into the mouth can make us spiritually unclean
Also, the levitical dietary laws are not only about separating Israel from the other nations, but they are about health. Even if we are no longer under the Mosaic covenant (as Gentiles grafted into Israel), it is still wise to listen to God's instructions on what we should and should not eat, because it is not simply about what makes a spiritually unclean, but what makes us physically unclean. If you eat scavengers like rats, or pigs, then you are certainly physically unclean. There are all sorts of pathogens, trichinosis, worms, etc in swine flesh, and other scavengers. So if you want to eat those things because you believe they don't make you spiritually unclean, that's your choice, but God told us what foods were clean for our physical bodies and what foods were not clean. If you want to take him at his word, then you'll listen to his advice
You didn't mention that Jesus said that his coming to save man from sin also fulfilled all the old laws that were no longer to be practiced and that he would give us the laws and practices we would follow. That also includes letting us eat the pork. Anyway, I don't eat pork if I can avoid it but will if it is all there is for meat on the table.
We have consciousness to choose life. Nothing wants to die! Animals feel love. You can see this with our own pets. But if you have no choice. Then it’s ok. But if you don’t have to cause suffering. Then don’t over taste. Animals don’t have choice. Some have to eat other animals to survive. It’s needed to have balance. Sometimes humans have to do the same. This subject is a tough one! Since God didn’t make everything vegan.
Acts 21:25, 1 Timothy 4:4&5…Galatians 5:1. For the Christian, Justification is by faith only - Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11 & Hebrews 10:38. He is not under the law but under the grace. Christ has fulfilled the law for the Christian. Judaizers in New Testament times teaches faith in Christ + performing the law [like circumcision] which was rebuked by Apostles as false teachers. What a great Mystery of Christianity ! Romans 8:1.

Jesus & Mother Mary were Pure JeWs. They practiced KoSheR. If Christians Really follow his Teachings, pork is forbidden. I believe Paul or Peter or Mark allows it. Not Jesus.

The dietary laws is under the Mosaic law and it was given by God exclusively to the children of Israel, NOT to the children of the Japanese or Chinese. Christians are living under the new covenant and NOT under the old covenant or the Mosaic covenant (Jer31:31-4; Heb8:13). So Christians are not bound by the Dietary law and Christians didn't ignore the command as it doesn't apply to them. Rom14:19 Christians are bound by it. Thank you.

Nice video, thank you for the clear explanation. I wanted to understand why Christians eat pork. Now I know. In the Quran, i.e. the last testament, the pig is still unclean and it is a sin to eat it. Period. Very clear.
In the beginning animals were not for eating. Man was mandated to eat fruits and animals to eat grass. After the flood God permitted Man to eat meat. Now its a personal matter to eat meat, tho is not forbidden to eat it some of it might cause some health problems so its personal to or not to eat it.
Ohhhh i love eating pork ad Ham and Bacon also bar bq grilled ribs...i am not jew it's old testament but new testament when peter 💤 Lord Jesus told him to kill non kosher food
Exactly. It was an Old Testament commandment. When Jesus came it was to revise and reinforce some scripture. One that was revised is the one regarding pork.

Peter's vision on the roof top of a tanner's house in Acts10 should dispel the Levitical Jewish dietary laws for the Christian. First of all Peter was in violation of the Levitical laws by associating with a tanner, who touches dead animals for a living. Second, God, Himself, in Acts 10:9-16, commands that Peter "kill and eat" the "unclean" animals in the sheet from Heaven. But this was to prepare Peter to witness to a gentile, Cornelius the centurion, his household, and other non-Jews of the salvation of God through Jesus Christ.

They threw them in the fiery furnace.
BEFORE throwing them in they said “make the fire 7 times hotter”
The fire was so hot, that the soldiers throwing them in died from the heat of the flames alone.
But you think they couldn’t get fire hot enough to cook pork. Shame on you.
👑 How Does Christ Make Us More Righteous Than A Pharisee?
Christ died to fulfill the law, not to abolish it. He died to cover our sins in His blood & to circumcise our sin nature to keep us from sinning anymore.
He imputes His righteousness upon us to mitigate us from sinning any longer, as long as we’re willing and obedient to His entire Word - He’ll help us out along the way through His grace & mercy.
He didn’t die just so people could keep ordering Chinese pork takeout, God didn’t create us to eat pigs & He didn’t create them for us to eat either - from the beginning there was a distinction between clean & unclean animals God allowed for sacrifice & consumption. God & Jesus have never considered unclean animals food, nor did Paul - all of Paul’s doctrines reconcile to Christ but many people have misinterpreted his doctrines. (Peter’s sheet was talking about gentiles, Christ was talking about unwashed hands & Paul was talking about vegetarianism.)
God did ratify a lot of the mosaic law through His covenant in Christ; including animal sacrifices, because Jesus is the last one true, eternal, spotless, lamb sacrifice & instead of circumcising our loins, he circumcises the sin nature out of us & He also converted all the temple service laws towards Christ, because the body of Christ is the third spiritual temple.
It says in 1 John 2 & 3 that anyone who keeps breaking God’s commandments & laws are unrighteous. It says in the Bible all sin breaks one of God’s commandments or laws, anyone who keeps going against God’s creation & the way He made things to be, is unrighteous.
Christ died to free us from the curse of the punishment under the law, to free us from not being able to resist breaking the law.
We are supposed to be righteous law, abiding citizens in the government of the kingdom of God, through Christ’s righteousness.
Jesus told us to be more righteous than the Pharisees, who provided no mercy and grace; Christ was the fulfillment of God’s mercy and grace, the Pharisees, however, were unforgiving and even added their traditions & oral laws on top of God‘s laws acting as the authority - even beyond or above God.
God judges us by the heart, if we’re not truly trying to be righteous above God’s laws, He may judge us under the law, without any mercy or forgiveness.
Today the church is more tolerant of sin than it has ever been. All sin, stems from the root of pride and going against the way God created things to be. God does not tolerate sin or unrighteousness but God provides grace and mercy through Christ for those who do repent or are trying to live a life of repentance by picking up their cross daily - those truly trying to understand God’s Word with godly remorse.
God allows us to make righteous judgments by telling others to repent after we ourselves have repented, don’t confuse as being the judge, jury or executioner - that’s God’s job.
If someone is living in sin, we must tell them to repent and if they do not listen, they should be kicked out of the church until they repent just as Paul stated about those living in adultery.
Many people are tolerating others in the church willfully living in sin, justifying their behavior by preaching blind love & acceptance.
After their sin has been exposed & called out, if & and when they repent - we should welcome them back in like the wayward son & not deny them like a Pharisee; this is how Christ intends us to be more righteous than the Pharisee’s.
God and Jesus can* provide unlimited grace but that’s only contingent upon true intent, godly remorse & repentance.
But we must not keep denying Him by grieving His Spirit of Truth, claiming things from God are from the devil, or trying to become like God or better than Him - a servant can never transcend His master, when it comes to Our Heavenly Father; but we can be like His Son!
You have to understand that the spirit of lawlessness is against Christ, it is the spirit of the antichrist.
God gifted us His Son, His Word & has sacrificed His key of Truth - when we copy Christ, we ourselves fit into the lock of God’s door, gaining unlimited access to The Father & His House by living like the way God & Christ always intended us to live.
Mark 7:19 For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body." (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods "clean.")

Nice the last paragraph is good. 😊
I give you as a FULL BLOWN ROCK SOLID case in point Major Amir Tsarfati, both Biblical teacher, the Last Mayor of Jericho b4 it was relinquished to Jordanian's , AND OUR AMAZING MESSIANIC FAV. Acts 10, Understanding Peter’s Vision
God gives Peter a vision in Acts chapter 10.
When does the bible ever say a covenant will be made with the so-called gentiles?
thank you for the info. you where very clear and didn't left anything out.
I agreed with you 🙏 God bless u for telling the true about the true christian
If you abstain from pork, yet reject Jesus Christ, you're still going to hell. Whatever you do, do to the glory of God. The kingdom of God is not about eating and drinking.
Its about following instructions
@@thereelreview9072No, it is not about following instructions. That's what Jesus critizied in the Jews. They followed the traditions and talked a lot in their prayers but didn't believe in him.
May be the rule "do not eat pork" was lifted to ease baptizing of Romans, Greeks and other Europeans.

Which is all forbidden right there in the same passage that’s against eating swine
The Bible says if you break one rule of the law you’re guilty of breaking the whole law.
If king arthur had to choose between the sword and sheath of excalibur, he should choose both.

How can there be a revised version of the book of God with changed verses permitting what God had originally disallowed.......strange.....
@@ExoticGTRX you won't hear me say the law is done away with. The new covenant is the fulfillment of the law.

Romans 8:1.
The vision that Peter had while praying in the roof was to demonstrate that gentiles were clean not animals. He explained that to the Roman centurion Cornelius.Pork is filthy so are lobsters, shrimps, octopus and anything that doesn't have fins or scales.God didn't want the israel ites to be healthier than the Christians .He wants both Israelite and Christian to be healthy
Did Jesus follow the food laws? God is righteous and his word endures forever, Food laws were made to protect people from disease. If it was commanded to not eat back then by God. How is that later it is said you can eat it.
Isaiah 66:17 HCSB

The dietary laws is under the Mosaic law and it was given by God exclusively to the children of Israel, NOT to the children of the Japanese or Chinese.
