I had emergency open heart surgery about a month back, and still have a couple of weeks to go before my sternum has healed fully. I can't begin to describe how much I look forward to getting back on the floor and following your lessons ❤

Maybe you can practice the movements in your imagination?

Well apparently I have a genetic disease called Ehlers-Danlos, that almost but luckily didn't kill me. So major heart surgery a month ago, and when I've healed up enough a ton of Feldenkrais in my future @@ImprovingAbility

This lesson make your spine totally flexible and mobile.
I have been doing the above arm movements from previous lesson but combining it with spinal rotation was a game changer
    Thanks dear

Thank you for sharing your esteemed insights, as always!
Yes, at the end of the lesson rotation it is! Initiated from the arms, or head, I suppose that’s saver for the lower back than initiating the rotation from the pelvis.
Also, I should add, I like how the classic image of twist and rotation is challenged here. The spine simply isn’t just like a towel or foam stick that we twist, isn’t it?

Stopped 20 min in. Same knot in L bicep. Did nerve flossing, helped movement. My knees/hips/pelvis wanted to move side to side with the head. My L scapula was stuck and I felt a distinct freeing at the very end. Thank you 💜

At first, in order to do the movment it felt like my left shoulder blade muscles needed to be much stronger. However, after continuing with the head and small knee movments my shoulder was fine. Surprisingly, my shoulder muscles were not the cause of the impingement. No wonder all these months of doing special shoulder workouts at the gym did not help me. Thanks for the exploration, Alfons, very useful.

Your videos are amazing. I prefer follow along videos and less explanation. Maybe just at the beginning of each movement. Unfortunately I couldn’t be focused on the movements. Thanks 🙏

Noted! Since this is a beginner‘s series there’s more commentary. Try my latest video „The most important spine mobility exercise DVD MIRROR“ for a lesson with less explanations
