- There is hope...for the Future of Cars. Car Manufacturers are starting to listen to our criticism. Maybe not every single company, but some of the biggest are taking steps towards the right direction again. We're seeing a fazing out of Fake Vents on non-sporty Grocery Getters as well as actual improvements to the very popular Toyota 86 platform. And of course the 400z still doing 400z things and living up to every single expectation without fail. Godspeed Nissan. And Mazda? Whatever RWD car you're making, don't disappoint us...
Also I'm not actually in my 40s. The running joke on this channel is that my Corvette adds 20 years to my age and automatically puts me into a Mid Life Crisis.

If the 86 was turbocharged it will increase the price to a point where it’s not practical to buy it. One of the biggest things about the 86 is that it’s msrp is 30k
Well if the emissions wasn't that high then we could've had a rotary. I still drooo over them but sadly that era of rotary is long gone

I like the rotary, even if it is more work than a piston engine car. They seem cool, and I want one.
When remastering a car, I expect a modern look, while still showing resemblance to the original. That’s why I love the new bronco.

We do have the new GR department in Toyota. I can see the performance car scene still improving yet still keeping the balance on economy, and unlike the previous generations where we're too focused on economy.
What do you mean by focusing to much on economy ? Are you saying that the performance models weren't performance oriented enough. In the case of Toyota that is so true. The Avalon TRD is the best example. It did not have anymore power or anymore torque. Also they really over compensated with TRD badges. They were like everywhere including on the trunk lining. I like how Toyota watered down the TRD name before the TRD name even meant anything.
With the speculation of the GR Corolla, if what we’re hearing is true, then Toyota is definitely going in a direction that balances performance with economy
@@3man659 I hear they're trying a new Hydrogen ICE on a test Corolla in some race as an alternate fuel ICE 😏 and I certainly have my hopes up for that tech to overtake The "boring" electric car which can just go in a straight line.

As a mechanic, I love RWD cars. They are way easier to work on, gives you much more room to work on, and is generally just a much more worker friendly platform. May love my Volvos but they are absolute nightmares to work on.

I had my eye on the Z from its announcement, shame Nissan killed off all its fandom in the UK by saying it wont release here. So it looks like I either turbo my 350Z or buy a 370Z Nismo...

@@vedantawasthi5410 not really. It won't come to Europe because of the new CO2 fleet emission restrictions. A sportscar like the 400Z blows out too much CO2 that Nissan apparently won't be able to compensate, so it won't be available.

Okay about the Mach E, which bothers me every time.
Get a normal mustang body and make it an eletric. You keep the Mustang's image and capture the eletric car market.

I think the flop of the last Thunderbird scared them away from using a decent performance nameplate, so they just decided to slap a popular one onto it.
Mach E is just an SUV that they called a mustang
for me "mustang" is not just a ford model anymore it's a brand,so that's why they are making variations of the car.

I think the bronco was spot on with my expectations.
the 400z has easily become one of my dream cars alongside the 240z, that back end is so beautiful especially in that yellowish green paint job, seems car makers are embracing bright colors again and as someone who loves the unique colors on older muscle cars I'm glad that maybe one day the highway won't be a sea of black and white cars

Just like the Rotary engines, the Turbine engines are small and have less parts compared to a Piston Engine. They sound like Turbochargers but on steroids and are much more louder.

I’m glad you mentioned the huge grille problem, because I love BMW (even own an e90 335i) and I HATE that they’re putting huge grilles on their new models. The new 2, 3 and 4 series have horrible designs

I thought the maserati mc20 was here in list since the reviews have come in youtube and its actually a great car, probably what bladed wanted since they always look to ferrari to give an engine and to restore their former glory of their past.

I like the fake vents, it allows tuners to replace them with real venting for brakes, turbos, or extra cooling without having to break the bank on a custom bumper or cutting out parts of the oem smooth bumper and possibly ruining it
That new civic looks seriously cool!! Love the simple design look! Also, I would definitely agree with you Bladed, that the previous gen looked way too sporty for what it was, at least for the base models. With the SI and the Type R i'm a bit more lenient seeing as they are more sporty trim levels.
Hope they make the Type R a coupe again and offer Si coupe model as well. I may be too optimistic though.

I actually like the Lexus grilles, especially on the IS and GX. They made it work on their cars...unlike BMW.
Lexus grills look ok to me, a bit bigger than my preferences though
the only BMW on wich those big grilles look half decent is the new M3, but a green one tho (this is just my opinion)

I was very excited for the 2022 Honda Civic and I got myself a touring a few weeks ago and love it!!!
We are finally getting some exciting cars again! I am currently on the fence of either getting either a GR86 or a i30N Facelift; also though about a Type R, but that car is MASSIVE and much more expensive than the other two. Maybe I should also consider a Yaris GR?

Between economy, emissions, and drivability, rotaries just can't hack it anymore. You'll see some as EV range extenders, but i wouldn't even bank on a hybrid rotary coming from Mazda, let alone a sports car.

There’s a *lot* more negatives to look forward to than positives these days in my opinion. Some of them include, but not limited to:
-Ford completely destroying the Mustang lineage as mentioned
-Mitsubishi completely destroying the Eclipse lineage
-General Motors buying up and closing down more car brands like EA does for game studios and franchises (Holden has literally shut down just last year, despite having over a century and a half of history and not even being the *originators* from them. Pontiac is still dead as hell too, never gonna get future chances for models like the Solstice’s, Trans Am’s, and GTO’s ever again)
-No Mazda RX car, like, *ever…*
-Probably no Dodge Viper’s for a very long time either
-Corvette will no longer be consistent evidenced by the C8 as mentioned, and will last way too long, also as mentioned
-Kit cars like the Superformance Ford GR-1 will probably be outright cancelled
-Mitsubishi never returning to performance cars in general
-Maserati will probably die soon because their business practices right now are very stupid
-Insane price inflation making even the normal cars even *more* expensive than they already are
-That meme of BMW literally making the *entire* car just a fake grill will become a reality, you’ll see
Etc. etc., honestly I could just go on *forever* with stuff like this, but the truth is that car culture as we largely love it for within the next 10-30 years will be 100% dead outside of the rich elite, (Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Koenigsegg, and so on) just utterly *destroyed,* and nothing else will remain but monochrome SUV’s and sedans. It’s honestly a miracle that cars like the 400Z and GR Supra are even still coming into existence in the first place by this year. We are very soon entering the dark ages of automotive vehicles folks, this is the end of the line…

I bought my first brand new sports car 2002 Toyota Celica GTS back in 2001 for $24k. It now has 397k miles and looks new inside and out. It still gets a lot of attention. They don't build them like they used to. 💪

When I first saw that 2022 civic, I didn't really like it, but its starting to really grow on me, I do definitely like that clean look it has.

ok normally i would agree but in this case it's different because a front plate is required in most areas, and it's hard to do that with the bigger bumper-tall grills on the 4 series, so they have an actual reason to block off part of the grills

Yeah that bronco is doin numbers, out here in Kansas as a postman they’re really all I’ve been seeing when it comes to freelance work and just people having them in general. Kinda figured people would hop on them purely cuz of the connotation behind it.
