I placed my order for the Emira a few years ago, fortunately placing quite highly up the order queue considering it hadn't even been revealed at the time. With styling reminiscent of the Evija electric hypercar, the Emira is a phenomenal amount of car for the money; coming in at a little over £80,000 in fully loaded First Edition trim. Powered by the familiar 3.5l supercharged V6, it puts out 400hp and crucially in my spec has the all important 6 speed manual gearbox.
Starting in my garage, we're on the road in the Skoda Octavia VRS team car, to head over to the Lotus factory where I visited a month ago to see my car in build. This time however, it's ready to be revealed and then driven back home for the first outing on the road and a real sense of what the hotly anticipated car is all about.

Shmee, I met you once in the queue for the MoonSwatch on Oxford Street and you truly showed how great of a person you were there. It was so refreshing to see the person on the camera is the same person in real life. I didn't say hello as I didn't want to disturb you in that god forsaken queue, but I really did admire you for trying your best to manage the queue and to actually queue through the night and day like the rest of us. Merry Xmas Tim! In 1970 my friend Jörgen won a Lotus Europa Series 2 for designing a successor to the Europa! It was also in Hethel Yellow! He, actually allowed me to drive it for many kilometers, actually 1000+… Truly a lovely car. Good luck with your new ackvisition!

So pleased to hear more positive reviews.. as an owner into my 3rd Lotus glad to hear some positive reviews about their products. Most of their products have been great and VFM but customer service has been appalling. I think recruiting Scott back into the firm is great with all his experience and having been on the outside as well as the inside. Not sure if Emira comes with a subwoofer but can guarantee you that all 3 of my standard lotus in car stereos were dramatically improved by keeping the factory speakers and adding a sub woofer (PAX footrest)

Man I love that car. So good looking. Looks like it could be 1 of the most fun cars to drive. Only thing I don’t like are the door handles. But, I can learn to live with that.

Hope this car means a more positive future for Lotus, live locally have seen the emira prototypes on the road for a long time now, also have friends who work at the factory, Lotus in my eyes is as important as Ferrari as a brand and deserves to be at the top of there game.
