Not just open cans and processed foods and dump them in a pan like so many internet "cooks" these days. LOL I found out that Chives LOVE to be left alone! I fussed over mine in the kitchen garden and they did alright but then I decided to leave them alone and BOOM they were thick and beautiful and other clumps had started around the main one, we had chives coming out of our ears! I was cutting and drying Chives like crazy! They are sooooo good in so many dishes! I hope you are loving being in Texas!

I really enjoyed seeing how you make mac salad. It was part of almost every meal when I lived in Hawaii. There they don't use many eggs. They do use a lot of ham and cheese. No pickles. I'm old now and live alone so I don't make it anymore. I buy a small size one and add ham or spam and cheese. I love your channel. Thank you.

My Mom has been gone for 37 years... but this really reminded me of her macaroni salad. She always used sweet gherkins and sweet pickle juice in the dressing. Her red was a small jar of chopped pimentos. Now I am in the mood to make some , after all these years. Thank you.... and have a happy day!

With the leftovers, I added: sliced English cucumber, Tommy Toe tomatoes cut in half, and chopped Black Forest ham and cubbed sharp cheddar cheese, it made a well rounded complete meal for us. 🙏🏻🌹🙏🏻

Plant your Rosemary in the ground. Oregano, a very large pot. I planted Oregano in the ground and it took up the whole bed, and lasted about four years. Basil does very well in the ground. I live in Mississippi, I previously lived in WV, I raised a lot of herbs in pots. I was in Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and trees fell on my bed I had the oregano in, when the workers cut the trees, removed them with bobcat machines, the pulled all the oregano out of the ground. I enjoy watching you cook.
This looks sooooo delicious....and, one of the reasons is thst it is almost exactly the Recipe my Grandmother taught me ,when I was in my mid - teens! She called it " Picnic Macaroni Salad, " and she sometimes varied the ingredients slightly, ... maybe she would add thinly sliced and Halved small Radishes , or she would use Dijon Mustard ,depending on her mood, lol. That's a great beat to heat summer treat! It's always good to rinse pasta for cold dishes. It gets out the starch and stops the cooking process. This one's winner!

I had to quit watching most of them early on because they were not good cooks and were so slap stick. Plant your Rosemary in the ground. Oregano, a very large pot. I planted Oregano in the ground and it took up the whole bed, and lasted about four years. Basil does very well in the ground. I live in Mississippi, I previously lived in WV, I raised a lot of herbs in pots. I was in Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and trees fell on my bed I had the oregano in, when the workers cut the trees, removed them with bobcat machines, the pulled all the oregano out of the ground. I enjoy watching you cook.
This looks sooooo delicious....and, one of the reasons is thst it is almost exactly the Recipe my Grandmother taught me ,when I was in my mid - teens! She called it " Picnic Macaroni Salad, " and she sometimes varied the ingredients slightly, ... maybe she would add thinly sliced and Halved small Radishes , or she would use Dijon Mustard ,depending on her mood, lol. But I've not ever seen anyone make it like she did !! ...Until now ! Thank you. Miss Rachel ... I'm so glad to see you making these Salads ,with Warmer Spring Weather approaching!

My Mom always put small diced radish in hers along with the pickles, onion and celery. Always so good but now the younger kids don't like all the veggies in it so she stopped making it this way : (

I love the sweetness in a macaroni salad, as well as, the subtle crunch of the finely chopped veggies.. I could see adding some sliced black olives or even the pimento stuffed Manzanilla olives..

Rachel, that looks delicious! I have a question for you. Now that you're back in Texas have you started buying Ken'z Henz Eggs yet? They're phenomenal. They're free range and they're from Santa Fe. The yolks are bright orange and they're the best eggs I've ever had in my life. I can't go back to regular supermarket eggs anymore. Thanks for another great recipe!
