    Not only can simply healthy homemade salad dressings be used on your salad, but they also make great toppings for baked potatoes. I discovered this once while having a salad and poured some homemade ranch salad on my baked potato and some homemade French dressing on my potato. 😋

    These recipes are great, clean, and succinctly presented! Love the thumbnail pic; it was very attractive. I am sad, though, that you only have 219 likes with so many thousands of views! I have noticed that sometimes I forget to like a vid that I liked but when the presenter reminds me ("if you are enjoying this video, hit the like button") BEFORE the ending, i.e., interspersed within the subject matter before we can click away after having gotten what we were here for, I will do it without fail. Hoping for more likes for your deserved content.

    • @Greenhealthycooking
      @Greenhealthycooking  3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Thank you so much for liking it :) The reason I don't remind people to like a video is because I use the same video on my facebook page as well and it's against facebook terms of service to encourage people to take action on a video to improve distribution. So I simply leave out words like "like, share, comment, click" etc. Likes on TH-cam don't really do much. They don't help distribution so don't worry if you forget :) You watching the video to the end is helping me A LOT!

    Very nice dressings! So healthy and delicious, thank you!!
    Note: Kefir is more healthy for your gut than Yoghurt - more nutrients, biomes, etc.
    Adding a bit of Kefir or Greek Yoghurt (not so liquid) to your avocado dressing or salsa, will delay the browning by a few days.
    When I make Guacamole, I use some dollops of GY or Kefir if you want it a bit more liquid, and this delays browning and adds a nice tang. Plus you get calcium, additional protein, probiotics, and very anti inflammatory for gut.
    Diabetics or Keto diet - Use Monkfruit extract, Xylitol, Stevia, Erythritol in place of sugar, honey, maple syrup. No sugar at all but tastes sweet like sugar. Honey is loaded with vitamins but is high on glycemic index unfortunately.

    I tried someone else’s balsamic dressing which req’d dijon and it was delicious. Right about the good dressings which are organic and we know they are almost twice as expensive. All the ingredients for a good healthy dressing tend to be in a cupboard or fridge. I even have white balsamic vinegar for that dressing which keeps it white - I don’t think the avocado would last till I made dressing (we love to eat it just as it is…in Tx).

    I've been making my own dressings for several years. My favorite is blue cheese dressing, and since I'm a keto follower, I can have the full-fat sour cream and blue cheese that gives it its best flavor. I make a super simple oil and raspberry vinegar dressing, which is amazing over a greens and nuts salad! I hate Dijon mustard, so never use it, never even glance at it in the store, frankly, but I do use other spices and herbs to make excellent dressings.

    • @MelissaThompson432
      @MelissaThompson432 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't use Dijon as a condiment, but I find that it's bomb in dressings and marinades-- any kind of dark mustard, although I'm not especially fond of it sweetened. I've recently discovered a fondness for horseradish, and it gives me a lot more options than before. You might not want to jump right into the horseradish mustard, but a little googling can lead you to some mild browns you can enjoy.

    I was little skeptical about Avocado salad but it was simply amazing and it took less than 5 mins to make it.

      The ones with herbs/dairy up to 4 days, the others up to 2 weeks. They all take so little time to make though that I always make a new batch. It's just a few minutes.

    Ooooh! More info for salads. I just started making my own vinegars. I've made Apple, raisin and now I'm making strawberry. Can't wait to try these new recipes too - thank you.
