  • I noticed that the protective covering was worn though so time to replace the brake lines.

Replacing the front brake lines in this project was suppose to be easy however I soon found out that the front brake line was seized. This is not good as damaging the brake line may lead to a unexpected repair. Using a bit of heat I was able to free up the seized fitting. After replacing the brake line you need to bleed the brakes so this is a good time to flush the brake fluid.

Great video thank you. Im brand new to doing brakes and orders some longer lines. Question, I assume when changing all the lines you start in the same order as how you would bleed the brakes this way when you get to the front closest wheel you have all properly bled out.

I just purchased some Rubicon 4.5 inch to install to take care of the sag. with all the weight the 4.5 inch should sag enough to keep it level

It is a mixed bag but you totally burned off the poly-vinyl coating .... you might consider some plasti-dip or something like that over it after burning it.

if you are removing and replacing the old line by unthreading it from the steel line, why not just cut the old line and unthread a short piece instead of messing with the whole length ? It's garbage anyway !
