  • This is a Verbal/Visual Full Length Bag Tutorial

    YOU NEED:

    Some Scrap Batting
1 Strap Slide Adjuster, 2 Lobster Claws, 2 D-Rings, 1 Magnetic Snap, 32" of Zipper by the Yard & 3 Zipper Heads (or 3- 11" inch Zippers)

    1- 2 1/2 x WOF Sub cut 2- 2 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch Outside Bag Accent
------OPTIONAL ON ACCENT 1 or 2 (if you are using your 1/2 yard Accent 1 or the Accent 2 if you decided to use a 1/2 yard)
    Either Accent 1- 7 1/4 x 14 1/2 inch Outside Front Zipper Pocket
    Either Accent 2- 10" x 6" Inside Slip Pocket
    Either Accent 2- 7 1/2 x 8" inch Inside Zipper Pocket

I sat down and watched it over again and made my own pattern pieces as she described them. That made it easier for me to get all my pieces cut out before assembly. I have sewn for years guess I’m just old school and do better with a pattern. The actual sewing will be a piece of cake now. It’s such a cut bag I’m thinking of making some for gifts.

Great bag Tiff and the fabrics are really awesome. I love how the cloth tabs for the swivel lobster Claws are on the side of the bag and at that angle. If u wear that as a crossbody bag it helps to allow it to hug your body. It won't be kinda bouncing around if your shopping and leaning over and that. Very practical. When it comes to bags I like practical, easy to carry and easy to get into and lots of pockets to organize stuff. 😉👍

I love this purse and have made several. Thank you for the pattern.
You mentioned you were unsure about the placement of the strap tabs...me too.
I moved them to the purse top about 1/2" from the sides. I placed one tab on either side of the top zipper so it is balanced when it hangs over my shoulder. Works GREAT! I really love your style and as a visual learner...this works for me.
Oh and I decided not to cut the box corner notches until the entire purse was stitched together...that way, they all match up.
