I love Vanessa's tutorials. She explains everything very thoroughly so that even someone like me can understand. Thanks Vanessa. You are a great teacher.
I just love the way you teach with all the details, you are a great teacher. The strap ends had me puzzled as I had in mind what I wanted and was not able to achieve my vision. Many times I have in mind what I want to create and every once in a while I need a little help. I thought Vanessa will have my answer. Thank you again Vanessa....❤☺
I have seen many of your videos. They are all easy doable projects which I would like to do. Thank you so much. You have a pleasant way of saying things.
Thanks for the step by step if attaching an adjustable strap. I am not a baby beginner but this really alluded me. I watched several videos and your was the first that really brought me success. Thanks thanks thanks for great directions. 👌
Vanessa is so efficient and i like how she has things done and shows us those results to keep tutorial short as possible; all the purses were so colorful and cute!
Vanessa, thank you once again for an amazing tutorial!! You are by far one of my favorite teachers! I love your simple, concise instructions. I appreciate you SO MUCH!!!
This was a great video. You explained it very well and made it doable for us beginners. Thank you for the tip on the zipper because I've always had a problem with that
Thanks Vanessa for another awesome tutorial! I took my friend to the craft store and let her pic some fabric and made her a new bag I did add a couple pockets but I think she will love it! Thanks for always sending positive energy out in your videos and sharing your smile.
I have watch this video a few times along with your other videos. I want to thank you for being so detailed in your explanations. I enjoy your tutorials. Well, yesterday I decided to make this bag and for a newbie behind a sewing machine I have to say that I am proud of how it came out. it's going to be a Valentines Day gift for a friend and I'm sure shes going to love it. I would love to show it but I dont know where to post it.Thank you Vanessa.
That trick with the zipper is pretty slick Vanessa! I'd like to see that as a written tutorial & I will use it over & over until I know itt by heart. I hate zipper projects but make a lot of bags so your trick would be fun to trick them out even further!
Hi Vanessa . Love ur tutorial simple and easy to see.. Very good explanations.. I made several of these for friends .. But could u please do a tutorial. Like for going for a long walk with zip and pockets .. for keys , phone. Glasses … something small enough, light and easy to sew.. Thank you . 🙏🌹🙏
Great project! Before I stitched the side seams I added pockets to the lining, across the entire width with some lines of stitching to divide the pockets into sections
For squared or boxed corners, a chopstick can help. I always keep one in my sewing kit. You can get a set at most Chinese restaurants, and the narrow end can get in the corners easier than your fingers to push them out. Even if you have tiny hands. But you don't want to use a set that you have used for eating.
you are an amazing presenter! i wish everyone could do tutorials like you do. i don't mean to take away from their contributions, but often it is painful to endure a tutorial to get the info i need. not so with you! you definitely have a special gift. thank you!
You are an amazing young lady. 💕 I love your tutorials, so easy to follow and so thorough. I made a cross body bag, but unfortunately my fabric choice was not appropriate. My 15 year old granddaughter loved it and requested one for herself and her girlfriend! They turned Out great!
I have been looking for a bag like this to make forever! You explain every single step perfectly! Can't wait wait to make this - It's the perfect bag to go with my RenFaire outfit. I think I'm going to also add a couple of pockets. I love your videos! Thank you so much!!
Thank you Vanessa, another brilliant, well explained tutorial. That's one of the reasons I love watching your tutorials you explain everything so well. Now, I need to get me some fabric lol!! I can blame you!
Vanessa, I love your tutorial's. You give me great idea's and then i try and add something new to what i am doing. You explain everything so well and it makes sense. Don't stop!! I'm off to the fabric store again!! Lol
Your videos are excellent! You explain and show everything so explicitly so you make it easy to follow what you are doing! Have you made a video on cutting fabric straight? I seem to have a problem with that. Thank you!
This is so perfect! I had been wanting to make a zipper bag just like this! Thank you! Vanessa could you do a tutorial on sewing a vinyl bag? A see through type makeup bag? You are so smart. Thank you!
Short Cut that I use. Bias tape for the zipper ends. it is already folded. Great Video as always. When will you be visiting the East Coast Cape Cod area? Maybe a show up this way? Just a thought.
Thank you for this. It is a pretty good demonstration. It would have been helpful, too, to show close ups of where you had stitched the seams. I was very unsure about where to stop and start to allow the boxed corners and so was hesitant to proceed, putting all the pieces together (had spent the time making the shoulder straps, trims, cutting out the two fronts and two liner pieces, embroidering the outer two and attaching trim, preparing the zip.....). My much anticipated vinyl records cross chest carry bag lies in pieces as too nervous to proceed in case I stitch the seams incorrectly. 😕
Great little bag and a fab tutorial! Going to try and make one of these. Could you please let me know the model iron you use? It looks very neat and great that it's cordless. Thank you.
Your videos are very detailed and make each step easy to follow. I've just a few questions. Would this bag work with using cork fabric material? And to make the straps, could I use bias binding? Thank you
I love the bag it's so cute and simple but I'm wondering when you do it this way and I have done it this way I'm always confused about which way the zipper is supposed to go when you so it across my new voice turned out okay but I'm wondering whether there's an actual specific way to do it sometimes mine looks a little bulky
I love your tutorials, thank you. Could you make one to show how to insert mini loops with d-rings and make this with an adjustable length strap? Every time I try the mini loop is positioned incorrectly!
Vanessa, I was a middle school teacher for a couple of decades. I just want to say you are a fabulous teacher! Thanks.
I love Vanessa's tutorials. She explains everything very thoroughly so that even someone like me can understand. Thanks Vanessa. You are a great teacher.
This is the video that got me hooked on bag making ❤❤

I love your tutorials!!! More bags please😀😀👛👛
For those with older sewing machines, use a heavier needle to sew the thick denim in place. I use a #16 for thick pieces.
Vanessa, I love your tutorial's. You give me great idea's and then i try and add something new to what i am doing. You explain everything so well and it makes sense. Don't stop!! I'm off to the fabric store again!! Lol
