  • The Sunshine Wristlet is one of my all time favorite bag patterns, one I suggest for beginners EVERY DAY. Bagstock Designs came out with a new pattern, an enhanced crossbody version of my favorite bag. And it is WONDERFUL! I’ve already made myself a couple, gifted a couple, and have requests from loved ones for more.
    In this tutorial I switched up just a couple things, and I have found my perfect combo to make this bag just right.

      How much vinyl do you recommend, a sheet or roll of vinyl? Is there enough vinyl for 2 bags?

    I just put my current project in the naughty corner to think about what it's done, and am relaxing with a wine watching this tutorial. Soooooo relaxing!!! I have made one of these already and it was a hit, my MIL wants me to make her one so I'm getting inspired. Thank you Jess, I LOVE your tutorials.

    • @sharonvonsee3164
      @sharonvonsee3164 ปีที่แล้ว

      My third rendition of this bag is in the naughty corner now. Apparently I cut the zipper a quarter inch too long, and the tab along with the thickness of the interfacing won’t go through my domestic machine. I may have to pull out the seam ripper and go back a few steps.

      What is the purpose of bending the zipper ends at right angles?

  • @crimsonscarlett4603

    You could also do a double sided strap (one side vinyl other side cotton) if you still want the vinyl look! Saves major on bulk and looks great!

    • @ginnylee9928
      @ginnylee9928 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can also switch out the cotton side to use grosgrain ribbon instead.

    • @miiii50

      How exactly do you do that? Also I only have 1" D-rings can I use that and make the strap a 1/4' wider? Thank you.

    Another great tutorial! Thank you! I was almost shouting that you'd forgotten to open your interior pocket zip but in the end I'm glad you didn't hear me because you showed how to fix that should anyone else make the same mistake. It's not fatal. I just want to add that you and Sara Lawson of SewSweetness have my favorite tutorials. You have great camera angles and thoroughly explain everything in a way that I can completely understand. Although, you always make me laugh. Love that! Thank you for sharing your time and talent! It is much appreciated.

      Hahaha I could feel you internally shouting at me Elle! I couldn't believe I did that. But I like that I can share that with you all! Thank you for such kind words, it means a lot to me! Sara is such a queen in my eyes, it means a lot to be in the same sentence as her!

    I love your idea about adding an extra line of stitches to prevent the pressure I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of that I was just stitching over top of my original ones and that was just causing more stitches to be seen I can’t wait to try this new trick on my next bag. I am really enjoying working with different color and texture vinyls so always looking for fun new tutorials that incorporate vinyl.

    This bag is soooo cute! It's now on my list of things I just have make. You seriously cannot beat decovil light. Another great thing about decovil is when it sits for awhile the wrinkles all relax. Well worth the price because of the professional look it gives a bag. Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial!! Keep up the fantastic work!

    Kia Ora from New Zealand. I'm a newbie to bag making. I made this bag over the weekend following your tutorial. It was my first ever bag and I'm so pleased with how it turned out. I just love your style of teaching. Love how you walk through all the steps. Thanks Jess. I have now subscribed to your channel. Ka kite Denise.
