Your tutorials are so easy to follow. I’ve sewn for a good 50 years now, and zippers have always “eaten my lunch”😂, so I avoid them like the plague, but since seeing how you do them, I’m much more confident with them. Thank you. This bag is perfect!!!

Hi Jess, I enjoy watching your videos and sewing along. Thank you for putting the links in each video for the supplies you used and for the tools you use. In this video, I really chuckled when you said "nom, nom" and had the tab eat its way onto the zipper. You are a joy to watch. I'd love to see more machine embroidery integrated into your purses.

Finally got to make it last night after all the holiday craziness! Love it! I did switch up the quilted cotton for the top. This was my first time working with little screws and I wasn’t going to even attempt it but I did and it turned out great! I’m going to make a few more for my mom and mother in law . Thanks again for explaining everything so thoroughly!

This bag is so cute. I had a store bought one that wore out. I was excited to find this pattern. First time I tried it I had to take the strap connector off because there was no room to add the connector on the double zipper side. So I did the top zip first then added the connector.
Your tutorial is great as usual.

I saw this tutorial for this bag and was soooo excited to make it. So, I started it. Jess, I was so confused on the measurement instructions! Would you make a tutorial in cutting the measurements, from the instructions? I am still working on the bag. I feel I cut to much material which I didn't even use. I used the D rings, and wasn't sure, where would be the best place, for placement. But, like I said, I haven't finished yet. So, we'll see.

I didn't think I would like the fabric choices - but it's a cute bag - the green strap works well and the colors are great. This bag, like others have said, is a bit too small - I can't get my wallet into it but then again it's an NCW so a small NCW might work but with my glass case it's a tad small. Nice bag though. Thanks for the class. I have made tons of these.

@@MelissaH05 mr.beast is rich, he just gives money, food, cars away and doesn’t ask for things in return. He also does it all on TH-cam since that’s how he’s able to fund it all. Whatever your fil is doing is most certainly not the ‘real’ mr.beast. He started his channel when he got sick with crones disease so giving is a big deal to him and I really don’t think he’s out their scamming people when he’s one of the biggest TH-camrs on the platform. Get your fil to stop. If it sounds to good to be true it probably is. Everything I’ve ever seen mr.beast gift he does in person so tell your fil to only accept something from mr.beast in person otherwise you know it’s not him. So sad to hear people taking advantage of his name to scam, but they do it however they can.

I just finished the bag. I learned a lot but I find it too small. With all of the pockets, it does feel a little bulky for something this small. But I loved the video. Thanks for the videos!

I’m in Canada and am thinking of joining the monthly bag club…when I followed your link it said ‘project club recharge listing x 1 $58.99 US and $0.00 for shipping, what does that mean?

What size zippers do you use on your bags? #3 or #5 ?

My project sheet didn't tell me what size the pockets should be. Could you send me measurements for the 3 zipper pockets please

Ooops, I forgot to ask which foot are you using to sew over the zipper tab. I have a Bernina as well.

    • @kidmd

It looks like the 1/4 inch foot, 57D or 97D to sew on the zip tabs and the 4D to sew around them.

You mentioned that if you had a craft fair coming up that we would make these, and you believed that they would sell well. And rather new in this realm, of craft fairs, any suggestions on what I should price it at? I do live in the country, small small city, if that makes a difference..

I make cork exterior bottom (unlined) , cotton exterior top (lined with fusible fleece) and cotton interior (unlined), and webbing for the handles. They sell for $60 at craft fairs. I hope this helps you.

I always have a problem when assembling the whole bag with which way to fold the zipper when sewing the two outside pieces together. I don’t know how to describe this but it is always wonky.

I have not found zippers to be easy in any way..getting better but doubt I am feeling beefy enough for a 4 zipper purse..

Probably a dumb question, but why did you put hanging pieces through only the front?? Why didn’t you go through the front and back to make it support more weight??

I love watching your tutorials but I need some help. I watch with the captions on because of my hearing and in the video in some places it shows you saying “quill” cotton and in others “quilt” cotton. Could you please tell me what is the correct material I should be buying to make this cute bag? Thank you so much!

It’s “quilt” or “quilting” cotton 😊
