This is "the" best tutorial I've ever watched to install both the zippered pocket and the recessed zipper. I've used the zippered pocket method many times and it's fantastic. I agree, you are an excellent teacher, without all the fluff!! Thank you so much!

I have watched several tote bag tutorials - and they are scant in their details which means I had to keep back tracking and watching or taking notes and finally just moved on to another tutorial! I found this one and said "Yes! This is what I needed!"
Thank you for taking the time to give great details! I SO APPRECIATE that!

This is by far the best zipper video I’ve ever seen. I’m not a novice, nor am I an expert. I was looking for a way to alter a bag pattern that I liked to include a recessed zipper without throwing off all measurements. It was baking my noodle, until I found your video! Thanks!

Oh, my goodness, girlfriend. This was way more than I imagined it to be. Perfection. Detailed. Not overly wordy. You are a great teacher. God bless you and keep you safe. You not only showed us what to do, what not to do and what the pros and cons were. An hour well spent. Will come back to set at your knee.

Jessica, thank you for your detailed explanation, even of which way to press the seams on the recessed zipper, how to determine the proper length of the recessed zipper panels, and showing how it will look in the finished bag. You are an excellent teacher! I refer to this video again and again before adding a recessed zipper to a bag project.

Everything I was going to say has already been said in the comments about this being the best, most instructive, easiest to follow, best use of fusible tape, and easiest method of putting in both kinds of zippers. I have sewn zippers in before but your instructions will help me be more professional and look like I know what I am doing. There is no guesswork with your method. It's just a perfect video and you are amazing!

Loved your video and after sewing together the zipper with the panels I looked at it and said, "Darn, I did it backwards and I have to rip it out!" LOL, then I remembered how you kept saying, "you will think you did it wrong but you didn't." I didn't and you were right. Glad you kept reiterating that!
