  • In this video you’ll learn how to add a zippered pocket to the lining or outside of your bag from start to finish. You will also learn all the ins and outs of adding recessed zippered closure. Use this video to help you with any of my patterns that have these options such as the Cailey Handbag, Elly Handbag, Lucy Crossbody and many more. You can also use these steps to add either or both of these components to any bag pattern.
This video is not a step by bag making tutorial and will not show you how to complete a bag.
You can find patterns, cork, zippers and more on the website

This is "the" best tutorial I've ever watched to install both the zippered pocket and the recessed zipper. I've used the zippered pocket method many times and it's fantastic. I agree, you are an excellent teacher, without all the fluff!! Thank you so much!

Oh, my goodness, girlfriend. This was way more than I imagined it to be. Perfection. Detailed. Not overly wordy. You are a great teacher. God bless you and keep you safe. You not only showed us what to do, what not to do and what the pros and cons were. An hour well spent. Will come back to set at your knee.

Everything I was going to say has already been said in the comments about this being the best, most instructive, easiest to follow, best use of fusible tape, and easiest method of putting in both kinds of zippers. I have sewn zippers in before but your instructions will help me be more professional and look like I know what I am doing. There is no guesswork with your method. It's just a perfect video and you are amazing!
