I follow Tendersmile also and several other non verbal sewing tutorials. I like so many of the videos each one, including you, has their own "saved" category on my TH-cam! Maybe someday I will actually stop saving them and start making them. It's fun to dream...
I have a habit of doing this as well, and never seem to get back to them. Just like recipes in a cookbook😁
I love tendersmile, and all those Asian teachers because they use metric!

In the United States we only use inches please!Cute wallet.I have a bag like this but I have a place for my checkbook too.
It's funny Lucille, in all my videos I have fractions for Americans. As this was from tendersmile's video, I used same measurements. I found it difficult converting her measurements, so left as is.
I'll definitely be sticking with my own format 😊
Another great video. We tried it with vinyl. Although it was totally doable, I am not happy with it as it doesn’t sit nice and flat so I will give it a go with some decovil to give it the stiffness I was after. Thanks again 😊

It’s about 3 AM here. No wait a minute 4 AM always a good time to watch a tutorial.
Also, what would make this tutorial a 10 out of 10 which very very few people do is always mention the type of needle you used the type of thread you used and the stitch length
There are a lot of people who may not know the best options
Thanks for the tips. I'm guilty of not worrying too much about my needles, but do mention it in some of my recent videos with heavier fabric😁
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs well, we want to set people up for success, and I belong to a Facebook group for both of my machines actually three of my machines and you would be surprised or would not be surprised how many questions come up about needles so I do think it’s extremely important to put that information in there
You probably don’t have time to watch other TH-cam channels, but Vanessa who has the channel called “the crafty Gemini” She is one of the few that will actually tell you stitch length and needle type and sometimes will talk about thread.
It’s amazing how many people just leave out that information I thought it would be helpful and it would have your video stand out amongst the thousands of other sewing channels ❤️❤️👍🏻

Oh Christine, i love this project you make it look so easy. It turned out really well. Do you think that it would be ok to use decovil stabiliser on the outer fabric just to make it firmer or would it be too hard to turn at the end? Thanks again.😊
I think I'd prefer it with the Decovil too Janet, but thought it might be too stiff. It would help if you made the opening for turning through a lot bigger. let me know if that works😀

I invested in a couple of metric sewing rulers. They're inexpensive on Temu and other sites. I'm not a metric person either, but I can follow along using the proper rulers without fighting to figure out inches.

I bought a couple of inexpensive metric rulers on Temu. I don't think in metric, but I can manage with the right rulers.
or simply divide those metric #s by 2.54 to get an inch measurement

Thanks Linda. All my videos have inches in them except this one where I thought I might have been too repetitive. The fabric measurements have inches in the list though. Will stick to my usual format in the next video though😀

i do not understand what 3.54, 2.17, 1.77 mean ? i see these kind of numbers all the time now, but i dont know how to figure them. i have done some research but i just dont know what its called or how to do it,, what happened to people just using fractions, i want to learn so i can keep up with the times if i have too. can you help with this please?
