They are great looking sculpts but, the detail will drive you insane!

The trick is playing Red Corsairs! Black Primer, Gunmetal drybrush, silver stippling from above, red contrast paint into the non trim parts and then a few details here and there. 😁
For the time commited, this is an insane result. Be proud of yourself for that and don't stress too much about the time commitment. I think they are great!
Thanks 😊 To be honest I regularly spend more time on single models, so I am quite used to long projects. I just wanted to illustrate how easy it is to get lost in details and forget about your initial plan and timeline :)
@@ph3lansminiatures this i can relate to a lot. I often start out saying "I'll just speed paint these to get them on the table" and then motivation/obsession kicks in and i highlight every little detail on the minis again even though i said i wouldn't :D
@@ph3lansminiatures it's like a curse :D You definitely are not! Keep up the good work, and I hope you don't mind me stealing that fire black armor recipe 😁
They look really really cool my man, great job! I'm actually gonna steal the horus green idea for the cloth and pauldrons! Awesome vid I hope it gets more attention. I liked and subbed. :)
Pain was worth it, they look great. Also it would probably take me more time to get one model done than it took you for the whole squad, and with an inferior result 😢
It is just about practice tbh. I have become way faster over the last couple of years. Muscle memory helps a lot and also knowing which brush to use for which situation. You will get faster with time, you only need to paint a couple hundred more models :D
I think the majority of the paints are shown or mentioned in the video. Unfortunately it has been quite some time ago and I don't remember all the specific paints I used for these dudes :S
Hey guys! What is your favorite Kill Team? I played one match with these guys since I've painted them and so far they seem to be pretty solid.

Exactly :D since I usually paint single figures it is hard for me to avoid this when I am painting a squad. Glad to hear I am not alone :D

Welcome on-board :)
if 10 hours of painting almost killed you, you're in the wrong hobby my friend! :D they look awesome :)

Thanks, glad you like them :)
Can you share the paints used please? These look amazing and love the Sons of Horus inspired scheme!

@@ph3lansminiatures thanks yes some are mentioned but others are not. It’s ok. Great paint scheme!
How’d you paint the trim? Looks really great!
You spelled. "I love gold trim" wrong.
You are right, my mistake 😜
HI, can you give us a list of the paints you used?
Hey! Unfortunately I painted these guys quite some time ago and I don't have my notes anymore :( Sorry!

A bit more and the whole CSM will be one big TRIM 😅
But at least they rewarded you in battle 😋
Yep, all the pain was worth it for that fun bit of butchering :D
