    So I have had the incredible privilege of knowing KimAnn for close to 20 years. I worked with her in the OR and she is an incredible nurse and always brought such sunshine into a windowless 8 hours. This lady, lovely followers, is just amazing at how she took her vision and created a plan and thrived. She is so compassionate, brave, brilliant, strong, hysterical and of course beautiful. She is a light in my life and I am so thankful that our friendship is forever!!

    Of the many great things in this video to comment on I have to say I really like your sun hat!
    The two canine's expressions were hilarious when you spoke to them playing on the bed!

      I like that hat too but it doesn't stay on in the wind. I had to get an unattractive sun hat with flaps and tie downs. I thought that moment with the dogs was so funny!

    And Cheers to you! I love how you interview these fascinating people along the way and help them showcase what they're endeavoring to do. You have such a lovely attitude. Really great video, Kimann. I had a Thousand Trails membership when I drove around full-time for 3 1/2 years. I loved it. Nice swim, hot shower, jacuzzi and so many interesting people. Hey, I'm always thinking about the dogs hating the truck ride. Have you seen the cat teepees? A bed that's practically enclosed.

      Thank you for your kind words! I think you mentioned cat teepees before. I think that's a great idea and it would help Ron. I'm looking into them. I appreciate your tips!

    I'm glad your puppies aka children love hanging out with you. I'll bet you enjoy and love them like I enjoy my two Yorkies. I get it, our dogs mean the world to us. I'm glad you're having fun and exploring what life has to offer. Please take care of the (children) especially with critters and other wildlife. May god bless you always 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️♥️

      @KimannChessa  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. The critters do scare me! I know a woman who's little dog was carried away and killed by a coyote in the middle of the day in Joshua Tree. Scary! An owl tried to carry Ron off in Nevada. I have them on the leash almost all of the time. We have to protect our fur children! You have two, too! Dogs are amazing!

    If you don't want to buy a 4x4 truck.. have a limited slip installed in your rear differential. This will allow both rear wheels to have power instead of just one. Also a powerful battery powered air compressor so you can air your tires down a bit and refill when needed. I have this setup and never get stuck. Not even in deep sand.

    • @KimannChessa
      @KimannChessa  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the tips! I have a limited slip. I didn't know what the knob was for, and a guy with a Jeep that saved me when I was stuck showed me how to use it. I have never aired down my tires. I needed to figure out how low to go. I have a portable air compressor that I power with my Jackery. Using your method will really help me! How far do you air down the tires?

    • @siteslikeadmin1457
      @siteslikeadmin1457 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Around 20 - 25 lbs since you have a heavy load. 15 lbs in extreme sand situations. All 4 tires for the best results and makes for a smoother ride on rough dirt roads.

    Hi there. Now that is what I’m talking about. I have spoken with somebody else that I follow about this. I have always wanted to go to the states but I don’t want to go to all the touristity type of places and I definitely do not want to go to New York or Chicago or LA because I would most probably be arrested. LOL. Everybody in New York seems to have an attitude problem and I don’t do attitude. I want to go and experience the real America and a small towns and the people. I have met many Americans that all come from small towns and such here in the UK and they are such lovely people but then I have met the ones from all the big cities And you immediately know that they are from one of the cities. I would love to travel around and go and see all those old mining towns and ghost towns and I definitely have to see the Cadillac Ranch. thank you so much for taking us on another adventure with you. Please stay safe and blessings to you from the UK.❤

    • @KimannChessa
      @KimannChessa  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree with you! I'm not too fond of touristy places. They are crowded, and you don't see and meet real people who live in that country. I grew up across the river from New York City, and it never felt like home. Some wonderful people live in cities, but the attitude differs from those in small towns. When I was in the Navy and moved to a small town in Louisiana, it freaked me out that strangers would say good morning and talk to me. I thought, do I know them? Where I grew up, you only spoke to people that you knew and didn't make eye contact with strangers. Now, I love it when strangers greet me and talk to me. It makes us all human. I always think what are the odds that that person crossed my path? We learn something from everyone we come in contact with. I appreciate your comments!

    60 mph winds….put down your legs when on the truck or buy Stable Camper system and get low (my choice) I use the truck to block wind. No problem.

    • @KimannChessa
      @KimannChessa  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have the Stable Camper system when the camper is off the truck. I love it. I have used the trick of putting the legs down for stability when the camper is on the truck. You were the one who suggested that, and it makes so much of a difference! I almost drove away, forgetting to put the legs back up! I didn't think that was possible! The next time I put the legs down, I Velcroed the jack remote to my steering wheel as a reminder. Thanks so much for your suggestions! Please keep them coming!

    I would try to find a used 4x4 F-250 if you can afford that. You have the time to search and find a good buy. I would not truck camp long without 4x4 capability or get recovery equipment such as boards,been h etc. If you want to continue with scoping out areas and you like that. By all means continue, I am not telling you how to live. I don’t prefer the bother of having to walk 1/4 mile to a mile just to see if my truck will not get stuck. Great video! Your new grand baby is gorgeous!

    Being a dually, very heavy with my camper, and i do have 4x4, but it makes me very nervous that mushy looking gravel.
    Maybe getting some experience in that country would help me, hopefully one day yet!
    I have a rotten little yorkie girl, has a lot of health issues, but wouldn't trade her for anything, she makes me smile even when she's being rotten lol.
    Say, how r u tying the boys leashes on your waist? 🍻

    • @KimannChessa
      @KimannChessa  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I use a running belt and thread it through their leash handles. Because there are two of them, the leashes get tangled but it is worth it for hands free walking. It would work better with one dog. Your yorkie sounds adorable! That says a lot that you still smile when she is misbehaving! Dogs are pure love - just my opinion.

    • @KimannChessa
      @KimannChessa  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure how a 4x4 dually would do on gravel. I read that rocks can get stuck between the tires. It sounds like you have a beefy setup! You don't have to worry about carrying the weight.

    • @SpykersB
      @SpykersB 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@KimannChessa driven on gravel man made roads n campgrounds fine. But🤞🏼 haven't encountered rocks jamming yet lol (ugh). I bought the truck, got the king of the pulls to haul a 42ft fifth wheel several years ago. That idea didn't go to well, sold the 5th wheel, but truck was paid for, my first truck n dang i like it lol! So it didn't make sense to sell truck for a single wheel, being it was paid off n new. So I got a 10-2 Northern lite camper. But geez Kimann, it's heavy. I bought thick wood boards last summer to drive up on back wheels for leveling, already split 4 of 6 boards cause dang it its flippin heavy! Although i like my truck n camper, if I had started from scratch i would have gone with a 350 single wheel n size smaller of a camper. Your setup is just so nimble really. Dually's r so big that taking the camper off, is really what for? truck is big anyway, not much more different with camper on. Truly don't think u would like that. Need to email u n introduce myself sometime, think u might be a bit surprised. 🍻

    • @KimannChessa
      @KimannChessa  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Northern Lite makes beautiful campers! There is always a tradeoff with every rig but it sounds like you have a fabulous setup. You go with what you have and figure it all out. A bigger camper and beefier truck has more comforts but something smaller and more nimble can fit more places and can be easier to drive. I fell in love with the Cirrus 920 but I decided against it. It's heavy and I would have to get a dually and that does limit you. Email me anytime.
