It's a nice system. I want to buy the kit soon. I am waiting on payday. I like sewing and would like to learn how to make patterns. This looks easy to learn and with a creative mind, it has endless options.
This is a good place to start for your first muslin. After that, adjustments would be needed for complete fitting, as few people actually resemble the perfect proportions based on the Golden Mean. In women, this is especially true, with high or low bust, high or low waist and hips, hip curve, shoulder slope, etc.
My mother purchased The Golden Rule for me on 27/1/1981 (I have the invoice and it cost £18.50). I think it was purchased for delivery in early March at the Ideal Home Exhibition but I am not sure about that. I have made quite a few garments from the patterns and they turned out well, It came with the same waistcoat pattern as in today's show but I have not made that up. Perhaps I will as it is a long time since I made anything from the The Golden Rule.
Although I am able to sew, I'm not sure where and, what to sew first. Do you have a printed sheet for basic instructions? Secondly, is there a number system to the other supplements I bought the originals vintage system. et my desire is to obtain each system after to original or vintage. I lalso see the new/old system get a dvd/cd is the same as TH-cam? Nov 1 I'm having my left leg amputated. I I'm almost out of time but, I need to make some skirts, And remove the leg o
Hiya there - perhaps you have already been able to get the answers to your questions - but just in care : No - there are no pattern-specific instructions about assembly of garments. But there is a general guide in the Binder and there are lots of guides and videos available to help you learn. There is no guide to the other Supplements, no index to garments etc - you can browse the supplements on the official websites to see if the designs suit you before purchasing. Not seen the DVD as my machine won't play it - but youtube has plenty of videos. Hope all went well with you since your posting here :D

The Tailor's Curve and the Hip Curve are available from the official websites - and also from good sewing retailers.

What do I do if I need larger than 140cm?
There is a plus sized kit available. Im not sure what sizes that entails but its available.
