    This is the stuff that gets my creative juices flowing!!! You can add trims and buttons and appliques and jazz it up til the cows come home, LOL. Thank you so much for this great post

    Laura! I have made that cover up many times for myself and for friends. I have been using Lutterloh since the 80s through weight gain nd weight loss. Your presentation. Style is professional. But I must correct you on two points: 1. Any woven pattern can be made in a knit, simply do not add seam allowance. I have done this multiple times. And yes patterns can be drawn directly on the fabric.many Europeans draft on paper then trace the pattern onto the fabric and then they add the seam allowance. I did enjoy your presentation.

    G'day Laura, thank you for your great video... I so wish the sewing teachers I had were as clear and concise as you are. I've directed several of my friends to you ,for lots of different videos. They say you are immeasurably better at teaching than I am.

      I really don't think one teacher is better than another. I believe it's all about how the student and teacher work together. We all have different personalities so we need different types of teachers. I'm sure you are a fabulous teacher. And thank you for directing people to my video channel

    Hi Laura, love your videos on the golden rule. What I’m confused about is how can you tell how much fabric is needed for each piece? Not good with centimeters lol so approximately how many yards?

    Can you do a tutorial on a knitted sweater ? I do not know if I have to sew on a regular machine or on an overlochmachine ?
    Learned so much from you

    Very nice top !! Bet you could add a zipper to the front and make it into a summer/ fall jacket when you just need “ a little more” .

    I purchased the XL set. I was very disappointed in the style of patterns that came in the binder. Now I have to purchase supplements to have stylish patterns. Feel like I waisted money having to double buy

    • @asmith5799

      @Aysyn Taylor based on my measurements I would need that XXL system. Found that it has less than half of the designs of the original. They don't show much on the styles included. Can we connect to share further details?

      @@asmith5799 yes you are forced to buy the supplements packs for stylish looks

      I also purchased the XL… not happy with the 80 patterns either. I feel like I wasted $150.00 +, because now I have to buy the regular size version to get cute clothes. The XL patterns are very frumpy in my opinion….Be cautious anyone else purchasing the XL pattern.

    Hi Laura, I l8ve watching your video's. Can I just ask how you would do the grainline on this, would it be parallel to the center front and back or would you draw a line across the bottom and half it please.

    I inherited two sets of old golden rule patterns. The short brass pieces to sew onto a tape measure are both missing. Is there somewhere I could obtain a replacement, i'm not very good at computers. Thank-you

    In normal patterns, I have to size based on high bust measurement and create a full bust adjustment so the shoulders and neck aren’t too big. Will this be necessary with this system too?

  • @janelanglois9509

    You say when you print out your pattern you enlarged it how big did you enlarge it when you photocopied it

    • @genafuscaldo6373
      @genafuscaldo6373 ปีที่แล้ว

      You do not enlarge the pattern, Everyone thinks that, so your not alone. You enlarge it by simply copying the pattern, exactly as it is, then tape it to the butchers paper, or rolls of tracing paper..then using the CM measuring tape, just follow the lines..and just like that you have a perfect pattern. Hope this helped !!

    On the patterns with ca. For approximation how accurate is it? I’m so worried about using those types of patterns because it may not work with my waist.

    • @SewVeryEasy
      @SewVeryEasy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you can always check the waist out on the pattern you drafted before cutting, If need be you can add in the waist. I have found it to be good without adding
