I actually did something similar to this but with a scout in 2fort. I pulled out the dead ringer but he missed like 3-4 shots completely before activating my dead ringer, he proceeds to taunt and die. Probably my favorite moment playing this game.
noob heavy kills you with minigun and taunts you actually used dead ringer you uncloak and critstab the heavy and then laughtaunt the heavy quits the game
Unless you did it for an achievement, it's disrespect & worth punishment at all times. Now if only I don't have an incompetent team for just 1 game & have my teammates punish said types of people that taunt every kill. Again only Achievement is the exception.

As tf2 veteran, I can say that taunting a spy is often a deadly mistake.
Unless the item servers are down and the spy can't be using the Dead Ringer
