    Hi everyone, this is a comment I got from somebody on Facebook as an answer to the questions I asked at the end of the video:
    “Alright mate.
    Rod tips as high as possible to clear the wave and try a heavier lead to hold it down it’s just the waves catching and knocking the line.
    Fishing alone at night I love ‘no wife nagging’ 😂
    Frozen hands is hard gloves between baiting and also baiting needle is a good shout also a little gas stove and get a brew on will warm you from the inside and also keep hands warm.
    As for rough see I fish the big beach so most of the time it’s ruff and I catch but I guess it’s all on the venue.
    Hope it helps and tight lines great videos too “

    Mate…. I almost piss** my self laughing 😂 “I’m going to leave it here an let the waves thaw my bait out” 😂😳😂😳 so sorry but that was funny 👍👍 if it helps… I chop my mackerel up in chunks then chop in half and use as “ tippets” after I’ve put lugworm on. It helps stop the smaller fish nicking your worm off.
    As to your rod dipping, it’s just to ruff “on shore winds” that the big swell is pulling your lead free and your getting slack lines. Either use bigger weights (if your rod is set for it) or find a beach protected from the onshore winds. Hope that helps mate 👍😎👍😎
    We’re definitely have to have a fishing session next year, if I can help in anyway I will 👍👍

    Hi pal
    When you cast out hold your rod high when walking back up the beach and keep the line tight to keep it above the waves
    When placing the rod in your rod holder wind a couple of turns in to tighten the line to keep it above the breakers

    Hi James Fish Barrel, I just subscribed to your channel. Nice vids man as they remind me of when I first started shore fishing 25 years ago. I lived in London until 3 years ago when I finally decided to relocate to the seaside. Like you I used to plan and drive a long way all over to get a chance to do some sea fishing all alone. I was lucky enough to have met and fished with a few good shore anglers of the local fishing community, who were always so helpful to share their knowledge. It's good to have company night fishing. Keep well and stay safe. Oh, you might need wellies too. Rod stand placed so rods pointing sideways at 45 degrees angel to the sea. Need to anchor the rod stand down in rough seas or if big fish takes your hook. 😁

      @thefishingbarrel6419  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi mate I appreciate it! So you was putting a whole bunch of mileage on your car aswell then haha you can feel my pain 😂
      You know what it’s good to know that even 25 years ago all the fishermen were still very helpful because that’s the one thing that has always stood out to me about the fishing community.. never come across a group of people so willing to help out and give advice! 😁
      And so I shouldn’t face my rod stand directly facing the sea I should turn it at a diagonal angle?
      Also just subscribed to your channel mate I see you’ve got a lot of videos can’t wait to have a good look through them over the next few days.. Cheers!

    It's weed and the tide it's not the water it's the ground your fishing on as its shale it moves alot with the tide you need sandy bottoms and heavy weights to grip in the sand but weed and the pull of the tide can be to much no matter what you do always find the best conditions and flow of tide every fishing spot has it best direction for fishing where I go it's a westerly wind at low tide for 2 hours on the flood 8 fish 6 species in less than 2 hours first fish in 10 mins of casting know your location and you will always catch using fresh bait
