    Just How GOOD Was Malcolm Marshall Really? | The Most Feared Bowler.
    Malcolm Marshall was known for his accurate and brutal fast bowling. He was the number 1 fast bowler in the world and for many years, he was the fastest bowler in the world.
    Malcolm Marshall changed the definition of bowling. He became the greatest and the most feared bowler in the history of cricket. His killer bouncers and amazing leg cutters bamboozled the batsmen. Even Sunil Gavaskar said that Malcolm Marshall was the greatest bowler he has ever faced. He went on to take 376 test wickets for the West Indies and his dominant bowling made him the most feared bowler.

    I saw one match of Malcom Marshal Vs Sunil Gavaskar at Chidambaram stadium in chennai ... Man, what a pace ... I could not see the ball ... All I could see was a small puff of sand at the place where the ball pitched and the next second the ball was on wicket keeper hand ... I was just shocked ... Also was shocked on next ball when Gavaskar was able to play the ball at that speed ... Huge respects to both. Modern batsmen would have never survived the big 5 of West Indies for sure

      @@tasditalam1774without mentioning the Fearsome 4 and Malcolm Marshall, Shane Bond wasn't near as quick as Patrick Patterson, Ian Bishop before his changed bowling action, Germaine Lawson, or Jerome Taylor, these were all bowlers that were repeatedly bowling in the mid to high 90 mph bracket.
      Shane Bond, also Rodney Hogg may have emulated the run up and bowling action but they weren't no Malcolm Marshall.

      I don’t think so. Modern game has evolved. There are several ways to analyse and correct batsman’s game to play Malcom . This is precisely the reason why bowlers have lost their edge . Bowlers are relaying more on variation than on pace .
      Now a days there is no fear of bouncers too . At the max the ball will hit helmet and the batsman will have concussion.
      If the batsmen starts slogging even a bowler like Melcom will be forced to bowel tighter length .
      He is no doubt best bowler of his generation and still will be best bowler in this generation too but may not install fear as he used to , because of training and protection

    But javed muandad played him the best . His 2 test hundreds and 1 odi hundred against the west Indians in the Caribbean in 1988 is the proof. Javed handled him the best . Dozens of big half centuries in odi and test matches by javed against West indies when Malcolm marshal was at his peak.

    • @AnkitSingh-xl6pt
      @AnkitSingh-xl6pt 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Marshall was absent citing family leave in the first test when miandad recorded a century. Only during the second test did miandad score another century, his last in the West Indies, but the return of Marshall also resulted in West Indies winning the test.
      The only two batsmen to officially score consistently against Marshall during his peak were England's Graham Gooch, who also registered over 2k runs averaging almost 45 when playing against the West Indies with atleast 3 of their best pacers in the line-up, and Australian captain Allan Border, who also scored over 2k runs against the West Indies with the pace attack fielded together and averaged 53 in the West Indies. Border was also mentioned by Marshall as the greatest batsman he bowled against as each of Border's 11 dismissals by Marshall cost him 36 runs apiece.

    I remembered when Malcolm marshall played for the wi team in 1978, when Clive Lloyd took the first string 🧵 of players to Australia. Before Marshall, Haynes, and several of players could made the wi team and. In terms of scared batsmen,it was Holding,Andy Roberts,Colin Croft, Joel Garner. Sylvester Clarke, Wayne Daniel, Patrick Paterson. Was more faster than Marshall also drives more fears,in the hearts of the batsmen them. I strongly believes that Malcolm marshall was really over rated,he was not quick as none of those bowlers I have mentioned. I have seeing all of wi bowlers them, from Wes Hall , Charlie Griffiths, from in the 1960s up ward. Well the 1950s I was too small to understand the intricacies of the games, but in the 1960s. I was playing schoolboy cricket for my school, so I know what am saying. I know that you have a lot of cyber bullies out there, they does not like to hear the truth. Well people have a right to believe their opinion, but facts and opinions is two different things,ok.
