That's my car at 5:28. 84 928s no rub strip all original except for I painted the middle wheel inserts in Porsche colors. That is MY car.928s are beautiful in classic guards red IMHO
Porsches have a recognizable silhouette, doesn’t mean they were designed by the same team or share many components. The 928 was the first blank sheet design by Porsche.
@@gazfish 924 was not created by Porsche, and 928 was. Now, if the 928 came after the 924, which it did... that 928 is not a blank sheet AT ALL. Maybe engine, drivetrain, but that's probably it. It was not created in a vacuum. Lots of copycatting happened back in the pre-computer days. Nowadays, it's reasonable that two people can fall on the same conclusion about many things, with a computer doing the thinking, back then, not likely.
@@m4rvinmartian The 924 was created as a joint venture of VW/Audi and Porsche. VW developed the engine and a part of the drivetrain but the design was created by Harm Lagaay (who worked for Porsche) within the same conception as the design of the 928 (which was actually developed earlier) and under the supervision of the same Anatole Lapine. So, of course, 924 and 928 share the same concept and look alike but they have many differences in details and, particularly, in engines.

Bought an s2 auto and s4 auto in 2005/6. They went up in value. Very involving cars to drive. Even with auto gearboxes.
