These is a very unique car , when I was living in Europe T 613 was my favorite car, I never heard about T 700 , only her in US , I wish I can have one and I am very proud of Tatra cars .
Here is a film from an old TopGear episode (Pre-Clarkson I think). It features the Tatra T613/5, designed by the same people who made the T700, but developed in The United Kingdom by a small development business run by a man called Tim Bishop. He and Mark Berry (who worked as his engine tuning guru) turned the basic T613 into a run of five prototypes for Tatra, who later did the T700 restyle and interior refresh on their own. This is the very same car I drove back from Pribor (CZ) to Fosters Booth (UK) in one shot between Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Next to nothing on the roads of Europe or even the UK allowed me to pretty much keep the throttle pinned to the floor the entire journey. This car was good for around 140mph and kept it up for hundreds of miles on end, a memorable trip indeed. I worked with Tim and Mark, with a handful of other engineers and specialists, to create these frankly astonishing machines. They drove like giant go-karts but as softly as a Bentley. th-cam.com/video/0AKkdUe0dEY/w-d-xo.html
The Lane Auto Museum definitely has the LARGEST collection of Tratra’s in the U.S. they have about 10 different models from all years. They’re known for their microcar collection. If you ever go, get the vault tour!
Milos Zeman = prime minister and recently president of the Czech Republic was only 1 politician who was seriously using tatra and supported (own czech company) instead of every other politicians rulling Czech since 1990 (Havel was using Lancia, Mercedes, other using BMW 7 and Audi..)
Do you mean the Tatra MTX V8? I mention it in this video. Unfortunately, there is not that much info on that car (and pictures) to make a separate video (but the car was great, no doubt). Or do you mean the MTX as a team/manufacturer in general?
@@wurstmotors MTX was child of 90ties as they been able to produce aluminium body, but there been mix of strange switches and interior (they used what was accessible). And due to low scale production it was pricey and not really on par (in terms of trade name) with BMW, Mercedes, etc - so not really competitive
Tatra made its way through T87 aka "Killer of the Nazis", "the OG Shark 🦈 fin Fastback", and the "JAWS shark 🦈 to the Nazis". We all relate V8 cars to only the Americans, British, and the West Europeans whereas Australian V8 cars, Japanese V8 cars, and Korean V8 cars later on. Never do we think of the Soviet V8 cars, of them Tatra and GAZ come into the picture -- Tatra V8 cars are rear engine cars whereas GAZ 21 and GAZ 24 V8 models are front engine mounted. No V8 cars can mess up with the Soviet V8 models.
Cars that has always fascinated me, I think that its sales failure in 90 ° was certainly the cost but in particular the fall of communism and its line too old and outside the style of the time. A modern restoration would perhaps have saved, but it must be believed that the air -cooled rear engine for a sedan at the time was strange. Of course, the sportsman who was planned had had discreet appreciations and could be the future of Maca in the car. Today the tatra builds trucks (I result in one of the few with air -repaired engines) it is absurd to think that where the free market had failed where it failed ...
Why you have wrote "a crazy car"? Tatra is really an unique car with a long tradition, it is the third oldest existing car company in the world, and to call its products "crazy" is more than bold, if not downright stupid. I recommend studying technical history..
"Crazy" also has a positive connotation in American English, equal to "cool", this word here was used in that meaning. And if you watch the video, you can see that I praised the car very much and I find it absolutely fascinating.
Tatra is famous car i know many People in former yugoslavia now i live in croatia went to czechoslovakia to buy new tatra which in that time wasn,t so expanssive even they pay duty and income tax

Thank you very much!
There is at least one T700 in the US. The Lane Motor Museum in Nashville Tennessee has a maroon 4.3 liter one... it's quite a unique car in person!
OuchThatHurt320 I believe they have really nice collection of Tatras including the preWWII types.

TATRA 613 a TATRA 700 jsou mé absolutně největší lásky v mém životě, když samozřejmě pominu svoje lásky, které mám v rodině.
I completely understand that love!
@@wurstmotors To je opravdu moc dobře a myslím si, že můžeme být celkem dobří kamarádi. At´žije TATRA!!!!
