    Ditto to all of the comments. FYI I had volume all the way on & could barely hear at times, especially when Mrs. was speaking. Great van.

    This one has it all. Love the booth and bed combo. Shower and toilet. I’m not a fan of the walk dividing the cab but to each their own.

    Just discovered this while i was looking for elevating bed videos. What a great build, top design to get all that in a van that size. will be copying a lot that you have done. The bed and diner is superb!! Enjoy your travels......:)

    Hi John & Karen! Jim here from TOTALLY RELAXED!…I found y’all on TH-cam suggested videos, and, feel y’all are very nice folks, and, joined your community! I’ll be going full time, hopefully, real soon myself being retired since 2015 from 38 years OTR trucking. I’m climbing the walls to get back out onto the open road! Hoping y’all drop by ‘my’ channel to say hi! Great job on the camper van build! It’s beautiful! I wanted Red’s Custom Design to build me a totally stealth Promaster 159 but he’s booked up way into next year. So, I’ll be buying a Pleasureway Lexor TS instead. Looking forward to catching up on your videos! Stay safe and God bless! ~Jim~

    Hello you two, I had to watch your van conversion again because it's been awhile. So I'm saying hello and wonder how your 1st summer adventures have been the past 3 months? I will have to watch some of your videos. I'd give anything to have a van conversion like yours! It's so awesome and beautiful. Right now Im a widowed 65 yr old woman who lives a rather lonely existence looking at RV tours and van conversions all the day and wish that I was on the road in the US enjoying everything you two are I bet! We had a 30ft class C and the road trip my husband and I took has wonderful memories and such great times and experiences. I love the van conversions so much more than the new class B vans and made to last compared to the other. I just can't say enough about how wonderful your van is. The quality of workmanship is very noticeable and the amount of thought you both put into the design, placement of everything and use of space is also noticeable! I need one built for me someday if I'm not dead before I could afford it! Lol. Or you could sell me yours and all is well! :-) Have you changed any things around since you've been living in your van? I really do need to watchvyour videos! Maybe tomorrow. Blessings to you both, stay safe
    Cathy
    PS. Well I thought you had more videos! Lol! Thanks for the ones you did.

      Thank you. We took out one of the storage areas behind drivers side bench to make a larger lounge area. Also rearranged garage a bit. We hit the road June 4 and have been traveling since. Presently in Nova Scotia, Canada. 70s and no humidity. .

    Fantastic build - this is everything I imagined my future build to be - but didn’t think of the genius idea of having the garage storage on the backside of the lounge area. Might have to snag that idea 😉 . Did you use any TH-cam resources to build the bedlift with linear actuators? Also what size is the bed?

    • @adventuresingreyce4771
      @adventuresingreyce4771  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! I did not find any specific video for the actuators so I had to wing it. The movable bed frame is 54x65 which fits nicely at the roof of the van when extended. When down I have foam inserts at head and foot of bed supported by tension and a small lip on the exterior walls. Total size of bed is 54x 75 enough for my 5’11” frame to stretch out comfortably.

    Hi John and Karen, your build is the first one I've found that is pretty much exactly what I want in my future van! It's amazing; great job! I'm sure you're busy enjoying your travels, but I do have to ask... Would you be able/interested in putting together a manual with your floor plan, all resources and all the ins and outs of how you built your van and offer it for sale? Apart from a couple of modifications I would make, this is perfect! Thanks and happy travels!

    Beautiful van! I too had issues hearing Karen when she was speaking inside the van. Maybe you need a better mic?? I don't know much about it. How do all the upgrades (when you make it a camper) act on the van's mileage? Does it drop considerably or no?

    I love just about everything about your van except I wouldn't have a stove....Did yall do it all yourselves or hire someone? I really want to do this also, but not sure where to start.

    • @adventuresingreyce4771
      @adventuresingreyce4771  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yes we did it all , AFTER viewing many other how to build a van videos. We drew up a floorplan but didn't know how to execute the bed lift until we were well into the build. Many people have portable stoves and we could see the use in that.

    Great build! Thanks for sharing. Where do you put your clothes?

    • @adventuresingreyce4771
      @adventuresingreyce4771  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We have chest of drawers. Top is used for kitchen utensils
      Middle is for John’s clothes
      Bottom is K’s clothes
      The attic is used to store jackets and heavier & warmer clothes.
      We did not need half of what we brought.
      We will pack much less moving forward. Worse case scenario if needed we can purchase items as needed.
      Having less in the van makes it so much easier to find what you do need.
