I think these DC Characters are definitely god-like beings trying to be human the best they can. This video just helps cement how I desperately hope James Gunn's Superman is gonna be great. And I say this as someone whose opinion on Superman has evolved throughout my life, from thinking he was boring and dull to falling in love once I realised how interesting and complex he actually was.
Your Superman videos are the best. The key to Superman isn’t really Superman, but Clark Kent. He walks among us not to mock us, but to relate to and be one of us. Without his humanity, he’s just Super. But as Super-Man, he shows us what we can be at our best.
Superman isn't Clark Kent, he chooses becomes Clark everyday because he loves humanity and to be with people more than anything else. He's not a human that happens to be an alien, and he's not an alien that blends in with humanity. He's both, and Superman is a representation of that. The alien powers and apparel combined with the ideals of humanity. Superman is who he truly is.
And what was Snyders criticism can you tell me? Do you actually even know? Bc just going off of what's clearly an excerpt doesn't tell us. It's ok to admit you don't know but we shouldn't speak in ignorance when we don't
@@dobi287 I think that he was talking about: snyder said that "those who know the true canon of superman, they know that I didn't change superman" he then said said that fans are living in a f***ing dreamworld to think heroes don't commit atrocities such as murder in their pursuit of their agendas whether it be a corrupted mission or a noble cause. basically saying that superman and batman should kill people because it's realistic and they shouldn't not kill people because leading by example is unrealistic, meaning that he disregards the very souls of batman and superman because that would be "dreaming" and "unrealistic" so Snyder claims he did not change superman but this is what superman says about dreams: Dreams save us. Dreams lift us up and transform us into something better. And on my soul, I swear that until my dream of a world where dignity, honor and justice are the reality we all share, I'll never stop fighting. That was what he meant by Snyder's criticisms tell me if I got anything wrong cuz this is just what I got from what snyder said
@@jjeteuati264 1 thing I would argue you got wrong is that snyder is claiming that a character _should_ do XYZ, is claim is that they *DO* do XYZ. Not a matter of they should or should not. And his most recent claims are that there should be room for stories to explore what happens when they do XYZ. Bc the more you limit what kind of stories can be told the more you stagnate the character and the more you stagnate a character the more they lose relevance. Basically heroes do in fact break rules and creatives shouldn't be afraid to tell those stories and should be allowed to
@@dobi287 Yea, I totally missed that. so he basically said symbols with unbreakable morals are only good if they explored what would happen if they did break their morals. I just was trying to say he still pictures his iterations of DC to have been true to their actual characters when they weren't
Snyder has a generation of kids believing his twisted take on Superman is cool. That he is a god to be worshipped instead of a man among the people. That he is a brute that will punch first and think later. Snyder has tarnished DC for far too long. It's time for the real DC universe to show up.
You do know the entire point of BvS as bad as it was is that Superman was "just a regular guy doing the entire thing".In fact it was literally stated in the film.
Snyder didn't create Injustice. Also we never had a good Superman film. Never. Animation wise yes but live action NO. Y'all thinking a director, Gunn is going to do Superman "justice". Yea OK. He's just like Snyder. Don't forget he killed Capt Bomberrang for Ratcatcher.
@@dupersuper1938 Read comics please. If you are referring to 78 Donner film do you really think Superman would selfishly reverse time putting humans mankind in danger to save Lois Lane? Superman 2. Do you think Superman would crush a depowered General Zod's hand and proceed to kill him by throwing him in the abyss? Please read comics. Superman is not a bully like how he beat up a human in a diner cause the human picked on him. Bro what?
"I want you to stop looking for a great saviour. Lex Luthor, isn't it. I'm not it. You are. All of you are. I do what I do because I was given a gift. But all of you were given gifts too. Use them to make each other's lives better. Show the world that Metropolis has a heart." - Superman: Secret Origin #6 (Written by Geoff Johns, August 2010)
This video was a great idea. Gunn has recently said that he wants each project to understand the characters completely, understanding what makes them special, why we love them, and why we need them
No they didn't. Ppl need to set their childhood aside and view the films actually as they are. In those movies Superman was a self serving creepy prankster. When we finally meet him as an adult the same day he meets Lois he asks her on a date twice and after being rejected follows her into the bathroom, mind you this intentional and the goofy Clark shtick is all an act. He then steps into the spotlight to save her, seeing that she's enamored he goes to her apartment, looks at her panties, drops her from the sky as a practical joke, and then later tricks her into going on the date she denied Clark. All this happens in like less than 10 minutes. Even as a kid he wanted to be a sports star and his father had to tell him his powers aren't for that. I'm not saying not to like reeve or that he's not iconic he absolutely is, but I am saying he's not a role model just bc he smiles and quips and winks at the camera. When you actually look at what he does and his motivations as an adult it's clear how troublesome he actually is. I don't care that he saves a cat from a tree if he's not going to come to the little girls defense when her mom falsely accuses then slaps her. I don't care that he winks and smiles at the camera when his whole motivation is having sex with a coworker he doesn't even know. He's an icon but not* a role model Ironically he does not start acting like Superman until 3 and 4 which are the ones spoken of negatively. And even those he still does immature and psycho/sociopathic things, no I'm not exaggerating. For example he throws a barbell at someone who is interested in the same woman he's interested in (Lana) at the gym while she and he are not looking. He completely loses interest in Lois after accomplishing his goal and having sex with her in Superman 2 etc
That’s a brilliant opening quote. I personally think the whole « dc characters are gods » thing is bull, and I think anyone who actually reads golden age and silver age dc will agree(as does Alan Moore so big up). The reason people subscribe to the wild craziness of the dcu with such fervor is cuz it’s often more relatable than most « realistic fiction » thanks to the characters themselves
Well done. As a casual observer, I never connected with Superman's message, but this video unlocked the storytelling potential behind the character for me.
James Gunn truly is the right person to direct this movie and show people why Superman is one of the greatest characters in fiction. Everything about this movie I've heard so far sounds like everything I've wanted to see in a Superman movie, since the world is such a cynical and cruel place with ongoing wars, lies and conflict that has made more people nihilistic of the future so giving us a Superman movie that truly celebrates what Superman fights for and how his optimism is more important today than ever. So happy seeing your fancasting for Superman come to life because David Corenswet is perfect to play Superman and truly seems to care about the character and understands that his humanity is his greatest strength and how hes far more relatable than people realise and help inspire a whole new generation of fans today. I am also super excited to see Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor another amazing casting that I'm sure will finally give audiences a good live action film adaptation of one of the greatest comic book villains that is the perfect antithesis to Superman. Rachel Brosnahan is also phenomenal casting as Lois as she is no doubt going to have outstanding chemistry with Corenswets Clark Kent and truthfully Lois is as important as Clark Kent and Superman are and I imagine in this movie this will be as much of a romantic comedy as it is a superhero movie. I'm also excited to see other heroes show up in this movie especially Guy Gardeners Green Lantern and Mr Terrific. Overall I'm HYPED ASF as this movie is my most anticipated film for 2025 and truly happy to see Superman again on the big screen.
@@davidchittick6783 Same. Ive been excited about this movie since day one, and everything from the perfect castings, the set designs and the creative vision of James Gunn feels like were possibly set to get the best Superman movie
I really feel like if snyder watch the justice League cartoon hed say something like "thats just a kids show its all total bullshit only when heroes kill people can they be taken seriously"
a theory I heard is that they change the name because with all the other superheroes in it like Mr.T and Metamorph they wanted to remind the audience that Superman is still going to be front and center
@@connormarchand6302 makes sense I personally don't like how many characters the brought in also first debut of Green Lantern after 13 years being Guy Gardner of all people and in not his move is not fun for me.
In addition, although they seemingly changed the official title to just [Superman] I think going forward past this film/films well just refer to it as the legacy or James Gunn Superman movies
That was great video! It baffles me how many people keep saying that it's hard to adapt, or even like Superman bc he's "not relatable" when, in reality, being good person and try to not let others down is one the most hard and relatable things in all life. When look at character and his stories, Superman is no different from a teacher, student a worker, or oldest member (a father or older brother) someone who others look up to. Like anyone else in this situation, he has to face alot expectation, putting pressure on him, which is why hard for Clark when he has to deal with loss (like his father) or when people turn against him and what he belives (like what happened during his conflict with the Elite). However, what makes great is the fact he solves the problem with sacrificing his values and good qualities. His way isn't a perfect one, it's the right one. If Gunn is able to capture this aspect of Clark Kent, we probably will have one the best modern super hero films of all.
You make an excellent on what makes DC superheroes great, and why Zack Snyder's depictions of them mostly fall short. Especially with Superman, who he really doesn't understand as A character. He'd rather depict him as A god, rather than just A man with god like powers who inspired the best in all of us. In A way, Snyder has more in common with Lex Luthor, or Manchester Black than with Superman. Having said that, I would like to say that Henry Cavill had the potential to be A great Superman if he was given better direction to convey the kind of optimism, and embody the dream that he represents. I've liked James Gunn's work in the 'Guardians' films, but Superman is A much different character than Star Lord. I'm still on the fence with his upcoming movie, and I'd love to be proven wrong, but we shall see.
Synder is a fan of Ayn Rand (famous for her personal philosophy of extreme radical selfishness), so you can see how his mindset and morals don't align with Superman's.
He's also the same guy who called Rand insane and said "she drank her own Kool-Aid".The entirety of that accusation is based entirely on him making an adaptation of the Fountainhead which was more to do with the architecture and weirdness than anything.
Why can't we have the suit in this thumbnail and all gunn needed to do is a shot like the thumbnail and the Internet would have blows it's mind over how good this looks
While I understand the angle of loneliness, it shouldn't be the core of him. Clark is an earthling too. A farmer from Kansas. He's still the most human of us. He does care about mundane things. Like high school prom, getting to eat his favorite meal cooked with love by his Ma, graduating, paying rent, finishing his deadline on time, and all that. He needs to have a very specific shade of loneliness. But that's where his Earthly upbringing shines. His Earthly heritage gives him company. He knows that out there, there are so many who truly adore him. His adopted parents, Lois, Jimmy, Ma, Pa, Krypto, Kara, Lana, and every single average civilian who he'd ever saved from peril, or has inspired. He is lonely about some things yes. But his virtues bring in good company. As much as Superman inspires us, we inspire him. He sees the capacity for good in all of us and that in turn motivates him to keep fighting for us, to keep being Earth's champion. He's the last of Krypton. But he's not the last of Earth.
Prepare to be shocked amigo. The past 4 Superman films under performed at the box office,2 of them had Reeves in the starring role, the other 2 were Superman Returns and Man of Steel. Supes is a hard hero to get right in film, gotta please the fanbase that grew-up with the Reeves films, then the casual fans who know who Superman is,but, aren't interested in seeing a movie about him. Superman Returns was boring to me,Man of Steel I thought was-GREAT-but,didn't perform like the studio thought it would at the box office. Hope this new Superman does well at the box office, but, the track record for modern day Supes films is not good.
He might not be everyone’s favorite but historically he’s important he’s the most classic Original superhero of all time, so yeah he deserves dignity and respect.
Another great video mate. You’re spot on about the need for The Justice League heroes to be grounded. I really hope that Gunn can turn the DC movies around.
I'm really conflicted because I really believe everything that Gunn is saying about getting Superman in a hopeful, timeless, classic fashion but the he shares a picture of him wearing a suit that resembles the New 52, the most cynical and grim era of the character 💀
Depends on the story your read. While New 52 weren't the best period for Superman, there were still some hidden gems, like Grant Morrison's Action Comics run, which was basically a modernize version of the Golden Age, showing Clark growth from a lonely champion of the opress to a sci-fy hero, while having some very clever meta-commentary/criticism towards DC treatmeant of the character (characters like Brainiac and the beings from the 5th dimension are basically allegory to DC editorial, with their goal involving trying to control Superman and force him to change to fit their image).
@@alexandrefrauches132 the grant morrison’s run in action comics is the best Superman thing from N52 and funny enough the characteristic look from that book is not the armor suit but the simple shirt and jeans.
@@batlean I love that "homemade" suit, specially like the detail that Clark's amor was white but when he putted on, he uses the nanotech to resemble his suit, kind like symbolizing he taking his kriptonian heritage (the kryptonian armor) and reshaping and mixing it with his heritage from Earth (the suit his mom made for him).
Legacy has multiple meanings to it In a world where superheroes already exist, it appears the true defining version of a hero has yet to truly blossom. As such, Clark is paving his own legacy, and the legacy of all heroes to follow in his footsteps. On top of that, all signs are pointing to him having very little knowledge of Krypton, beyond the fact that he’s not of this Earth. What happens when he has to combine the legacy of those he lost alongside the people who raised him?
Portraying Superman as a god is such a fundamental mistake. They are supposed to be examples of what anyone could be, not unattainable, untouchable beings that are above us. All of them are doing the best they can with what they can do, just like you and me. Superheroes should be a member of your community who you trust, not some austere sentinel.
I don't want to see Superman with the tone of something like GOTG or The Suicide Squad. But I think Gunn is good enough to chose a proper tone, so unless I see / hear something to give me pause, I'm looking forward to it.
Great video bro👍 Keep up the good work. I can't wait for James Gunn's Superman. I am super excited! I've been watching the animated series of Superman including My Adventures With Superman & I love it!
James Gunn is the perfect man to helm Superman. I said it a thousand times before he was chosen as the director and, with what little snippets of the movie we've seen, I'm only reafirming it. He strikes an emotional chord in superheroes the way only the great filmmakers can do, and he balances the uplifting tone and comedy with a real gravitas, a real depth to it. His Guardians trilogy and The Suicide Squad are an ideal proof of that, and I think Superman will be no different. I'm so thrilled to watch it
Superman's Legacy is hope which is the most powerful thing in the spirit. It's that hope which is why no matter what is said & done Superman has unwavering hope & never stops fighting for the people & shows us we all can make the world a better place. Always being "The Man Of Tomorrow" & "Champion Of The People."
The Superman character is an alien, so he's obviously originally from a very different culture/race to humans, even though he was raised on earth, this is why he can display an almost angelic and other worldly kindness and positivity without it seeming too unnatural, as the backbone and motivation of the character is being bright and hopeful, basically the ultimate good guy. This is why the dark depressing depictions of the Superman character doesn't work well, hopefully James Gunn is aware of this, and delivers the best version of Superman since the Original 1970s film. ( Even though the new superman suit does look a bit shit. Lol).
Wow. I needed this video in my life, can I marry the entire concept of this video? Superman is bright optimistic and hopeful, yet also dark, isolated, and alone. My favorite superhero is Batman, I relate to him a lot, but I also connect with Superman. Getting to the point, I've been working on my idea for a DC Film Universe and it's a bit hard for me. I have to come up with a large sprawling story, but I'm much more drawn to the characters and trying to craft the best versions of them. I think very individually and it's very hard for me to connect things and worry about who the villains are, and things like phases, and sagas and timelines. I'd much rather focus on characters like Batman and Superman, discover who they are in their truest since, and spend some time fleshing out their individual problems and character arcs, than to cross them over and think about how old the actors would be by the time we get to the last Justice League movie. Any advice would help, I just love these characters and I want my universe to feel more creatively driven than logically driven.
@@Challenger461 Legacy was anyway just a starting name said James. Untill he finaly finished the Script. That's when he noticed that it's just Superman.
Not gonna front my favorite moment of JLA is definitely showing Superman is godlike 😅(Darkseid punch). The humanism is definitely the best moments for alot of those characters but others like Flash, Superman best moments in my opinion lend towards that god like nature. Personally i feel ww very much need that Nice Kansas farm boy but also we need the being who denies his godlike disposition despite all his abilities.. I feel for DC Top heroes that's a very nice defining trait. Batman being in the mix of these godlike beings to me emphasize that these heroes are indeed gods in another sense. Ultimately i feel James just has to balance the godlike nature & human elements 💯

Lex and superman smiles and as they hug casue lex hugs him as sueprman had caught him as he fell.....and he reached in his pocket and smirks and says nothing and sueprman says ???? And lex says "i know" and he smiles and Superman tears over his lips that begins to ....
Look I love Marvel and what they did with the MCU, but JL and JL unlimited were far superior then the entire MCU, I’ve rewatched the show last year and its pure gold, it aged like fine wine
As superman leaves to rwplace sun he smiles with happiness casue he leaving behind as he was meant to .....to the same gift his parents gave him he smiles back at earth like his parents amilwd while he left to earth on pod ... I guess
Superman Legacy should be filled with hope AAANNNDDD optimism... just like the Christopher Reeve Superman films. For example... he took Zod 's powers away, made him human, broke every bone in his hand, chocked him then threw him against the walls of the Fortress of Solitude as he sank to his icy grave in Superman 2's theatrical version. He smiled & huged Lois after she killed Ursa. Critics didn't complain about Superman killing back then 💅🏾 . We need more hope like when Reeve's Superman gave up being a hero in his second film, took away his own powers, said "HAVEN'T I DONE ENOUGH"?, so he could sleep with Lois. I especially loved when he went to the diner at the end of Superman 2, and beat up a human truck driver when he got his powers back. He broke a pinball machine with that trucker's head. I loved when Reeve's Superman peeked through Lois' blouse and said "it's pink" in reference to her underwear. Not awkward at all if you brought your child to see the film or watch it with them on TV. Nothing fills me with more hope & optimism than watching Superman smile at the camera as John Williams theme plays even though 7 minutes prior to that we watched Lois sinking into the Earth while being crushed within her car as her mouth filled with dirt during her horrific death scene.😂🤣 Because reversing time solves all problems....but take away from the lesson he learned after Johnathan's heart attack🤣. Oh wait .....Reeve's Superman choked his evil twin to death in Superman 3. He killed Nuclear Man in Superman 4😄 "Real DC fans" didn't even make 2006's Superman Returns go over 500 million whereas 2002's Spider-Man made 825 million. Where were "rEaL dC fAnS" For Superman Returns?😆
Christopher Reeve is praised the most because his character is the biggest epitome of being a friend to people. And Reeve had the most passions and understanding for the character. If you hate Superman being optimism themed character you might as well hate Spider-Man being a responsibility themed character.
My DC Cinematic Universe: What makes my idea for the DCCU unique is that it’s set in an already lived in world. Most of the major DC heroes are in the middle or near end of their crime fighting careers and each series will reflect that. The stories I adapt or take inspiration from will be ones where the heroes are already established and are far older than we’re used to seeing them. Another thing that sets my universe apart is that unlike every other cinematic universe, I’ll have a small prologue phase that quickly give some backstory and context for this already established universe. I’ll give a rough outline for the Prologue and Phase 1 in my next comment.
Another important detail is that I plan to have at least 3 projects release a year. In my outline, I indicate that by making a space after 3 projects. Prologue: The Adventures of Superman DC’s The Golden Age Shazam!: The Monster Society of Evil Phase 1: Superman: The Never Ending Battle Batman: Hush Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters Green Arrow: The Emerald Archer Flash: The Fastest Man Alive Wonder Woman: Battle For Womanhood Aquaman: Thicker Than Water! Teen Titans: A Kid’s Game Green Lantern Corps (TV Show) Green Lantern: Sinestro Corp War The Legend of Hawkman Superman/Batman: Public Enemies Justice League Action What do you think of the Prologue and Phase 1? (Feel free to ask which stories inspired these movies)

Great thing about lex is he has the power, money, skill and knowledge to make the world so much better but doesn't. A man with everything but use it on a pity desire to be luke Superman
I don't agree with a lot in that Alan Moore interview, but man if the guy doesn't understand Superman when he's lucid and not angry hippy mad that the UK isn't some nudist commune or whatever.
The mistake Snyder made with his DCEU was not mischaracterization. The mistake he made was not allowing the audience to understand that the Snyderverse was never Earth Prime. Its not Earth 2. Its not Earth 3 .etc etc . That this Earth is a different Earth. A backwater Earth. An underdog Earth. Which is why this Superman is not THE Superman. Which is why this Batman is not THE Batman. Which is why this Flash is not THE Flash. Which is why this Earth never got a Green Lantern. That Darksied has conquered Earh after Earth after Earth and now the only thing that stands in his way is an underdog Earth where what few heroes it does have are dysfunctional because something happened different here for each of them which made them different .. loners .. solitary .. outcasts. Which is why this Earth has no Justice league like other Earths have had and yet still lost to Darksied. Which is why Lex Luthor is already aware of each of the heroes and their iconography. Again its not the mischaracterization. Its the reason for the mischaracterization which Snyder failed to properly tell with his movies. Storytelling/arc-wise .. I think on paper that is a brilliant way to give usually flat characters an arc while also raising the stake incredibly because if these better Earths with better versions failed .. how the hell are these broken, divided individuals supposed to stop Darksied .. oh and now your Ace is dead. I personally like that. Which is funny .. because all you needed is one little bit of dialogue in one existing scene .. When Bruce visits Lex at the end of BvS. One little threat from Lex which reveals the game and reveals the stakes. One little exchange which allows Lex to reveal his secret knowledge that He, Darksied, is coming. That in Darksieds wake, Earth after Earth have become his as he has slaughtered Bruce and his friends, his fellow heroes, over and over and over again and if better or the best versions of Bruce and his friend lost what chance does this world without a Justice League, without united heroes, and now without a Superman have? Bruce responding with something like "Its never too late to make a first impression." That exchange excuses everything. It explains why our heroes are out of character, reveals the arcs, and presents the peril and the stakes in a real way. Oh what could have been with a few lines of dialogue. That is Snyder's real sin.
Maybe Superman says to lex ..."ur right.... The world doesn't care for me ...... (This alternate though) but I'll be there (there's various ways ) and smiles but a slight smile cause the full smile reserved when moments the battle is done and Lois is there to assure him he's got a friend (even tho they meant to be romantily to ) ..... (Superman not Goku he trying solve non violence maybe in alternate universe where he guns then okay I understand violence gets him excited like maybe if all the authority members maybe casue their sense of justice I guess .... I need more lore on the authority
Plus maybe he smiles casue he knows his parents guided him to a right path ..... I like do the recent original Superman suit casue it almost make it like a serious responsibility that is not easy and he placed himself on side where he's apart of metropolis and is home .... Beyond the window he about to hold still against the thunder like the movie Ted and say fuk u thunder and against lightning he blocks the danger with hope ....maybe the house of El was formed during (red sun had humbled the kryptonians and how the house el formed in this alternate Verizon with hope to endure without the yellow sun and more just the yellow sun was krypton which maybe or alternate with during or mix with new gods war during krypton overpopulation like district 9 so can still be peaceful .... And depending on viewer tho casue many perspectives and thats totally cool ....
He was being appreciative towards Superman ..... When lex gave different smile Superman noticing casue lex lies mostly when he smiles like backstabbing smile .... Casue when versions he a villan

I recognized the voice but wasn't sure if it was really him. Thanks for confirming.
this is random but I think Gunn is gonna make Clark have the round glasses from the superman animated series instead of the boxy ones
Incredible how precisely a fictional character destroys Snyder's criticism @1:31 lol😭
I'm sorry for you only know you seem to realize Snyder's version is totally wrong and simply a bad joke.
And what was Snyders criticism can you tell me? Do you actually even know?
Bc just going off of what's clearly an excerpt doesn't tell us.
It's ok to admit you don't know but we shouldn't speak in ignorance when we don't
@@dobi287
I think that he was talking about:
snyder said that "those who know the true canon of superman, they know that I didn't change superman"
he then said said that fans are living in a f***ing dreamworld to think heroes don't commit atrocities such as murder in their pursuit of their agendas whether it be a corrupted mission or a noble cause. basically saying that superman and batman should kill people because it's realistic and they shouldn't not kill people because leading by example is unrealistic, meaning that he disregards the very souls of batman and superman because that would be "dreaming" and "unrealistic"
so Snyder claims he did not change superman but this is what superman says about dreams:
Dreams save us. Dreams lift us up and transform us into something better. And on my soul, I swear that until my dream of a world where dignity, honor and justice are the reality we all share, I'll never stop fighting.
That was what he meant by Snyder's criticisms
tell me if I got anything wrong cuz this is just what I got from what snyder said
@@jjeteuati264 1 thing I would argue you got wrong is that snyder is claiming that a character _should_ do XYZ, is claim is that they *DO* do XYZ.
That Alan Moore quote gives me chills.
Snyder wanted Injustice Superman and didn't know how to even write him.

No,I mean Geoff Johns.
The guy just can't write an interesting Superman to save his life.
This video was a great idea. Gunn has recently said that he wants each project to understand the characters completely, understanding what makes them special, why we love them, and why we need them
Richard Donner, Tom Mankiewicz, and Chris Reeve possessed an unparalleled understanding of Superman.
He's an icon but not* a role model
Ironically he does not start acting like Superman until 3 and 4 which are the ones spoken of negatively.

Mientras Marvel son personas normales que se convierten en dioses DC son dioses que se vuelven humanos
This film will either die a masterpiece or live long enough to become a meme 🤣🤣🤣
I fully agree, and I really can't wait!
I'm super excited for James Gunn's Superman.
@@davidchittick6783 Same. Ive been excited about this movie since day one, and everything from the perfect castings, the set designs and the creative vision of James Gunn feels like were possibly set to get the best Superman movie

@@mahiyatsafiyullah7103 You mean in added in editing?
a theory I heard is that they change the name because with all the other superheroes in it like Mr.T and Metamorph they wanted to remind the audience that Superman is still going to be front and center
I am expecting Gunn's Superman to be something pretty damn special. I would be shocked it it wasn't.

You’re spot on about the need for
The Justice League heroes to be grounded.
Not every superhero costume in adaptation will mean that story will be done.
The fact that he still has his shorts tells me it's more then likely gonna be fine.
Legacy has multiple meanings to it
In a world where superheroes already exist, it appears the true defining version of a hero has yet to truly blossom.
But that's not realistic 😂 if I had powers well rip about 1 billion population

Great video bro👍
Keep up the good work.
I'm so thrilled to watch it
Hoorah you’re posting!
Yes, i saw Snyder say that immediately thought of that scene and how it would make a great Mashup. im so glad you did it
Your videos are rad, dude. Keep it up
Superman’s popularity stems from the acknowledgment that he is a nice person who is trying to do the right thing.
Couldn't wait for Superman legacy

He killed Nuclear Man in Superman 4😄

My DC Cinematic Universe:
What makes my idea for the DCCU unique is that it’s set in an already lived in world.
Prologue:
The Adventures of Superman
DC’s The Golden Age
Shazam!: The Monster Society of Evil
Phase 1:
Superman: The Never Ending Battle
Batman: Hush
Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters
Green Arrow: The Emerald Archer
Flash: The Fastest Man Alive
Wonder Woman: Battle For Womanhood
Aquaman: Thicker Than Water!
Teen Titans: A Kid’s Game
Green Lantern Corps (TV Show)
Green Lantern: Sinestro Corp War

Bruce responding with something like "Its never too late to make a first impression."
That exchange excuses everything.
It explains why our heroes are out of character, reveals the arcs, and presents the peril and the stakes in a real way.
Oh what could have been with a few lines of dialogue.
That is Snyder's real sin.
After watching BVS, I said to myself that they hate God. - Luke
Gives me spiderman 2 vibes!!!!!!!! When he going to do laundry caught from online which is cool
Bump
I don’t think James Gunn even knows.
it’s just superman
its just another gunn movie so Guardians 4
Batman maybe afraid of death casue how citizens of Gotham and beyond dies
He was thanking Superman which y he smiled .... I didn't know or had reason why he smiled I think
He was being appreciative towards Superman ..... When lex gave different smile Superman noticing casue lex lies mostly when he smiles like backstabbing smile .... Casue when versions he a villan
its not called legacy. its just superman
First the Snyder stans now we got the Gunn stans. You guys want this to be great so bad when or if it flops you guys are going to defend it while trashing Snyder or blaming Snyder for ruining the IP. Sad
Thanks Mr Trump. Make sure you keep us apprised of what else you think is "sad".

Either mutants with religious prejudice senators and religious being used against mistreatment of mutants or if not metas with this maybe reversing cause can switch ....and metas dealing like mutants from media/comics with political and non religious and just non religious difference and copying metas with rise of mutant people but fear and trigger violence in religious communities against mutants who halfbreed eternals and humans ....
And metas with sanitations like in media/comics with metas need to lie so they can go to school and ????? Parents wants metas to meet new friends and have hope for acceptance of metas to stop violence with understanding and icon going to law 5ying to help change laws on meta community to stop mistreatment on metas
Not for everyone I know ..... Would be cool if icon was in lanterns .... Or does a Bourne surpremacy and soon stun like midea/comics maybe
Gunn is just yapping away on how much return to form his Superman will be. Every time dude has just been contradicting himself. The suit reveal was evident to his hypocrisy. Overdesigned, MCU-esque piece of garbage. Always tweeting about how "Alex Ross" inspired the design is. Nothing about that suit was Alex Ross like. Even Alex Ross was disappointed. He needs to shut up.
Dude have faith its still not done yet they have time to fix the suit tho I don't see a problem with it, if you could explain why its over designed that would be appreciated. And try to be respectful to Gunn as he brought the guardians to life as well as the suicide squad and has been reading superman all his life. And are you a writer and director that did that.
I think you’re looking into the suit design a little too much. Just because it's not the classic design, that doesn't necessarily mean Gunn will screw up the character or anything.
