I recently bought a new pg27aqdm~ but I always feel that the two sides of the screen are much darker than the middle one on the desktop~ and take the left as an example~ the upper left corner is slightly darker than the lower left corner~ is this normal? Or its brightness The uniformity is not very good? Or is it a defective product? But it is not obvious when playing games

I did try both and it really depends of what type of gamer you are.
Impossible to advise one or the other because they each have their own pros and cons.
If you're interested, here's a list of what how you can compare these two monitors:
Asus PG27AQDM Pros: Brightness is much higher in SDR mode. The Uniform Brightness (SDR Only) allows you to enjoy brighter image than the LG without brightness fluctuation. Impressive HDR brightness for a WOLED panel. (Also it supports VRR and ALMM for consoles despite the low bandwidth of the HDMI ports)
Asus PG27AQDM Cons: Maximum bandwidth of HDMI ports limited to 2.0 standard (So you can have 1440p120Hz or 4K60Hz max), I would say it's largely enough for console but bad for PC because you can't use 240Hz at native resolution so you're stuck with only one DisplayPort solution. There are still issues of how colors renders in HDR mode and that's the big problem of this monitor that need to be fixed.
LG 27GR95QE-B Pros: Maximum bandwidth of 2.1 standard for HDMI ports, which allows you to go for 4K120Hz on consoles if 1440p120Hz is unsupported, useful for the PC too (allows you to display 1440p 240Hz on 3 ports vs only 1 for the Asus).
LG 27GR95QE-B Cons: Brightness in SDR mode is lower than on the Asus but still OK, however HDR mode is much too low to enjoy HDR gaming. (Also the optical audio port offers very average quality and the surround channels do not work as they should on surround headphones, so I do not recommend choosing this screen just for the fact that it have a toslink port)
The other specificities are almost identical, as you can see atm it's quite complicated to recommend one or the other. I think that for the moment these screens are too recent and not really worth their price...
If the Asus update (which should arrive soon) fixes the color problems in HDR mode, I would say that the PG27AQDM is much much more interesting picture quality wise. As for the LG, i would recommend it for gamers that need more very high bandwidth ports.
Anyway... if you want it fast it'll depend on what you're willing to sacrifice (I know it sounds crazy to read this when both screens are at $1000).

@@Drack_077 Hey man you seem to know your stuff. I will double up and say which is the better option if I'm gna be pairing it with a Lenovo Legion Gen 7 RTX 3080ti? Pretty sure running modern games max settings at 4k 240 hz would be brutal on my GPU? Thats what ppl on reddit have said.. that if I want to run 4k id have to go to mid settings? I could be wrong, please help im not too intelligent with this stuff but want to complete my powerful/modern gaming setup.
Another option would be to wait as I hear a few other options will be dropping late this year, but I definitely want an OLED sub 30 inches for my small space.

@@RGM.13 It depends what you mean by "modern games", if you talk about AAA games I would say impossible for several reasons (these games are often very demanding or/and poorly optimized) but for a recent indie, more modest game no problem to enjoy 4K at 240Hz using DLDSR. For example I have an RTX 3080 I used DLDSR to play Killer Frequency and other at 4K and it was easy to hit 240fps even maxed out. But there is something I don't understand in your question, the two 27-inch OLED screens are 1440p so why bother with 4K if it's not necessary ?
So yeah it won't be on all games but in some cases you can enjoy it. Don't worry though even if you don't reach 240fps OLED technology still allows you to enjoy better response time and better input lag compared to a conventional LCD screen (means less blur, less ghosting) no matter the framerate.
Currently, I would recommend the PG27AQDM more than its LG counterpart for its superior brightness level (if you don't care about the HDMI 2.1 ports).

@@Drack_077 I appreciate the help. As mentioned I dont know much about monitors and wanted to know what would be a sweet spot for resolution that would be compatible with my laptops GPU without frying it when running games max settings. It is a Legion 7i RTX 3080ti & I can live without 4k for now.
Thats why I narrowed down to 1440. I currently use a 1080 at work on a Samsung S24650FDN and find it beautiful so i dont think I need much more than 1440 honestly.
Now if we're talking this Asus, could I - in theory - run games like cyberpunk 2077, red dead, miles morales, gta 4, warzone, valhalla, overwatch, microsoft flight simulator etc. at max settings with no issues?
Will my laptop (60hz & 165hz toggle) even be compatible to plug to a 265 hz monitor like the Asus and have both screens running different framerates?
Sorry if these questions sound ridiculous, but yeah if I can get your feedback on these questions I think ill be better suited to make a final decision. Thank you kindly & Happy Friday!

@@RGM.13 1440p is a great choice for 27-inch monitors and it will still be the best mix between performance/quality for a long time.
All the games you mentioned will run fine on a 3080ti (It's a great GPU) but some probably won't hit 240fps (Cyberpunk, Red Dead, Valhalla and Microsoft Flight Sim are very demanding solo experiences), while others probably will (Overwatch and Call of Duty are very well optimized multiplayer games, and GTA is less demanding because it's older).
The important thing to know is not "will my games all run at 240fps and hit that maximum refresh rate" but rather "will the screen refresh rate have a large enough margin to enjoy a wide variety of games without it being unattainable". For rigs like yours and mine I think the 165-240Hz range is perfect for enjoying a wide variety of games without thinking "I'm limited by my screen refresh rate" or "I have too much headroom".
Your questions doesn't sound ridiculous so don't hesitate to ask if something is bothering you. Also the built-in screen of your laptop will have no effect on the monitor you connect and can run at a different refresh rate without any problem.
An important point to discuss though, I didn't know you were on a laptop. Laptops often only have an HDMI socket and no DisplayPort so you will have to check. If you don't have a DisplayPort socket then the LG model is probably the only model that will suit you since the Asus is limited to 1440p 120Hz via HDMI.
(English is not my native language so sorry if some of the terms I use sound weird to you.)

240hz tn panel still better than oled for gaming. why becouse tn is cheap, lower input delay, good response time if you playing over 180fps and the screen dont burn with stactic imagen. dont make a mistake if you buying a oled monitor to play competitive games on 2023.

    • @Vampensy
      @Vampensy ปีที่แล้ว +4

“Lower input delay” damn you must be slow, Also TN looks like garbage compared to a OLED panel. If all you care about is competitive games go with something that has ULMB 2 or dyAc, Even then this panel still has insane motion clarity.
