There's a famous quote from a retired female judge who said (I'm paraphrasing) in her decades of presiding she'd never once witnessed or spoken to a male defendant who didn't try at some stage of their legal processing to paint themselves as a victim or an innocent. Men think that women dressing in certain outfits or saying certain phrases is tantamount to provocation and compulsion that makes them do crimes, it's unreal. Lack of accountability among them is becoming a widespread social problem.
You can argue that duress is a defense and sometimes a jury will buy it, although legally they're not supposed to. Usually it's only done if someone feels their life is in danger if they don't commit an illegal act under duress and that's clearly not the case here.
He could also be doing this on public so he can be allowed to flip on Vince to get a reduced sentence.

TH-cam had a major shift in its guidelines a few years back, the reasons for which are well documented and I dont have enough time to explain, and they instituted censorship guidelines on curse words. If the review process (Im unsure if its an AI recognizing words similar to auto-generated captions or actual interns doing it) noticed foul language, it would demonitize the content.
People noticed a caveat to the review process, it didn't review the whole video, only the beginning. Some instances, I have seen it be the first 30 seconds, minute, or 10 minutes, most likely determined by the overall length of the video. So many videos get censored up until that review time.

We've seen this scenario happen in business all the time where the "right hand man" next to the boss is the scapegoat for a major incident and then they find out that the boss doesn't really have their back or can't save them that eventually they'll turn on the boss just to save their own hide.
When the first video of this news came out, the one that people are pissed Brian and Jim laughed at, I was dealing with my 15 yr old dog dying.
Brian and Jim’s take and laughter was only thing that got my hubby and I through what was like the death of our child.
Not once did we feel like they were making light of what happened to Ms. Grant, my hubby and I only felt relief from the brief break from our pain and tears so I will always be grateful for the funny reaction that others were mad about.

I've not too long since been through the same situation and I understand how soul-crushing it is. It'll take so much more time than you think to bring yourself round and pull through. It's heartbreaking but you have to cherish the purity and beauty they brought to your life. We don't deserve dogs, they're the most loyal, loving best friends you can ever have.
However as big a fan as I am of Jim and Brian, they were wrong in that first video. This is incredibly serious shit, they should have taken things far more seriously than they did. @@Bumchats To believe that SA criminal cases are that cut and dry, investigated with the proper resources, and the defendant sees a day in court, let alone a conviction, is extremely far from reality. First, the cops have to believe the victim to investigate it, the test kits are backlogged for decades, and a lot of times the victim get harassed and questioned by the police to the point where they get investigated or forced to drop the charges.
That’s just with regular, everyday men who are accused. We’re talking about a billionaire and a millionaire being accused by a single woman. Takes a benevolent viewpoint of the criminal justice system to believe that pressing charges is more viable than seeking damages via a civil trial.

Because you'd go to the police, they investigate, they prosecute and they bear the costs.

Historical rapes and controlling and coercive behaviour tend to see their day in crown court and they send down some huge sentences which would see him die behind bars.
Here it seems most logical to go for a criminal investigation against Vince first then civil for costs and damages against the company or family.

@@BumchatsI don’t believe Vince will see a trial or at least not a conviction. In the U.S., the defendant(s) must be “fit to stand trial.” The moment an indictment comes around, Vince will suddenly be very forthcoming about his health problems, real or fabricated ones.
