After being in the Guard for 24 years, finally learning his job, he got to the rank of a command chief status or a high ranking sergeant, a non-comm. If you are reading this GUTFELD, help me with my math. Walz is 60 years old. In 2004 he retired from 24 years in the Nebraska National Guard. He found out his unit was being deployed to Iraq and 2 weeks later after hearing of this future deployment, quit. This is a Guard job. You get free college the same as active duty people get. MANY people join for just that reason. Back to the timeframe. 60 years old minus 20 years(2024-2004) puts him at 40 years old when he quit the guard. His record shows 24 years of Guard? 40 years old -24 equals 16. That puts him at 16 years old???? when he entered the guard. I'm confused. And remember, the Guard meets 2 days a month to learn their duties. After being in the Guard for 24 years, finally learning his job, he got to the rank of a command chief status or a high ranking sergeant, a non-comm. After he received the benefits of the Guard, like college, he seemingly got scared and quit. A lot of his former guardsmen are still pissed at him. They needed the benefit of his training to deploy to Iraq. He squirmed out of duty. Yeah he's a real leader. I call him a user. I come from a military family by the way. He's disgusting. He looks like Herbert Hoover's brother, and that should scare you.
New info. His record says he enlisted at 17 before he graduated? apparently. Still there are times he says 24 years other times 25 years. His record shows he re-upped 2001 for 6 years, but got it cut short at 4 years before the deployment to run for congress. He says he was a CSM, but his record shows he's just a master sergeant. He did not complete his schooling for the promotion. He says he carried a rifle in war, but did not serve in a war zone ever. He served and good for him, and he got his college paid for it. He still is saying things not accurate that amounts to stolen valour, just not as bad as other congressmen have done. He needs to clean it up. In his 2022 race he lost the Vet vote in Minnesota. Now we know why.
