I get it, but if the mask is causing a problem like this, get a better mask with better eye holes. If he says it's the spike that was just handed to him, don't use it. A quick summary: The ref was suppose to bleed but didn’t. Hannibal wasn’t happy with that and took the spike to stab him. The ref got choked out and ended up with 17 stitches.
I’ll tell you what got me, and it was right before the weekend where all of this happened… He was doing a live show online and some guy paid $10 to tell him that he has been clean for six months or so and instead of Hannibal congratulating him, he went to his refrigerator got a bottle of wine opened it poured him and some girl that was there with him a glass and they toasted to his sobriety. Which I thought was Low class and disgusting. Then when this happened, didn’t really surprise me. He has been milking the developmental thing for too many years for which he did nothing in and acts like he’s on top of the wrestling world. The good thing is, with this kind of press and attention… I’m hoping that he will never be booked again by anybody. As he can’t be trusted. He tried to play this off as it was a work and the referee knew it was coming. The referee was hired because he could blade himself, but couldn’t get himself to bleed so Hannibal did it for him. Unfortunately, taking it to New Jack’s level and damn near scalping the kid. Ridiculous.

He of course didn't because he knew it would prove he is a liar. I got likes and a few replies asking the same and he deleted my post as well. Slow Devon is a good name for him. Like some of his interviews but he acts like he's some great wrestler because he was champion in a promotion he ran. There’s a Hannibal interview with Jacques Rougeau where he tells Jacques that Jim said he’s an @$$hole, which Jim never said. Just said he rubbed some people the wrong way when he was younger and then went on to talk about how great he was and Jim and Brian then talked about how much they loved those Mountie promos. Jacques genuinely looked sad about Hannibal telling him that. I hope that is cleared up someday.

A quick summary:
The ref was suppose to bleed but didn’t.
Hannibal wasn’t happy with that and took the spike to stab him.
The ref got choked out and ended up with 17 stitches.

I’ll tell you what got me, and it was right before the weekend where all of this happened… He was doing a live show online and some guy paid $10 to tell him that he has been clean for six months or so and instead of Hannibal congratulating him, he went to his refrigerator got a bottle of wine opened it poured him and some girl that was there with him a glass and they toasted to his sobriety. Which I thought was Low class and disgusting. Then when this happened, didn’t really surprise me. He has been milking the developmental thing for too many years for which he did nothing in and acts like he’s on top of the wrestling world. The good thing is, with this kind of press and attention… I’m hoping that he will never be booked again by anybody. As he can’t be trusted.
He tried to play this off as it was a work and the referee knew it was coming. The referee was hired because he could blade himself, but couldn’t get himself to bleed so Hannibal did it for him. Unfortunately, taking it to New Jack’s level and damn near scalping the kid. Ridiculous.

I've seen that Hannibal guy's videos before and clearly the man has some mental/psychological stuff going on with him. What I could never figure out was how he was getting legitimate legends to pretend to take him serious. Now I know.

Cornette has his own issues, to say the least. By his own account he went nuts one time with a baseball bat and was fortunate that he didn't get in more trouble. He also hit a disabled wrestling fan in the head with a tennis racket. Then there's his never ending hostility towards Vince Russo, to the point that Russo filed for a restraining order. What exactly did Russo do to deserve this? I get that Russo is a d-bag, but Cornette needs to grow up and lay off Russo.
