Minelab Manticore - Picking out the Treasures!

I visit the old dump site with the Minelab Manticore for the first time, and manage to unearth some treasures from ground I've been over many times before.

I am looking forward to when there is a 6" coil also. Great video. Since my last comment the other day I am now at Coffs Harbour for a week. I have filled another bucket lister. I was approached by a young couple of backpackers from the UK on the beach. He had just lost a ring on a walk down the beach. Could I help? I admit that I was loath to as I was rather sore in the arm from swinging the detector all afternoon. Anyway I followed in their footsteps for about half a km with no luck. We parted ways. As I headed back a little to one side of where we had walked up I found the ring sitting on a clear patch of sand. Three very happy people. Them for getting the ring back and me for being able to find it. The best find I have made so far. Cheers John.

I think the 6” coil is going to be a significant tool for me personally, as I love detecting in target dense locations around old sites. Congratulations on finding that ring! It really is a fantastic feeling when you can help someone like that - well done John! I reckon the detecting gods will reward you for that at some point! 🤞😉

@@coilsandcoinsdetecting I went to an old homestead in a wooded area today and kept thinking about a smaller coil. Lol. I’m on a list through a vendor to get one as soon as they come out.
