- The Royole Flexpai is a foldable smartphone you can actually buy right now. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Fold which was close to release the Flexpai made it to consumer launch. Like the Galaxy Fold however the Flexpai seems like a relatively delicate device.

Phones shouldnt fold yet but they should be built with a sort of tech that allows impact damage to be dispersed as if the phone bends on a millimeter sort of level..idk if that makes sense

So far I like the concept of the new foldable RAZR. When open it's the same size as a traditional cellphone. Not big like a tablet. I just want to "SNAP" my phone closed to end a call again. Damn that always felt good.

I can't be certain, but my guess is the do not touch the middle is probably more a warning for when you are unfolding it. I can see the temptation to press the middle with your thumbs for leverage/stability while unfolding.

Why would you fold it backwards? It is more of a natural thing/action to fold things inwardly to close it. Like a paper folder or an envelope. Or a A4 piece of paper to conceal its content...

I'm using an LG G4 and want to upgrade, I have $350 should I go for a "renewed" (refurbished) oneplus 6 or a New Mi 9t ? both from amazon. Both are under $350
The OnePlus 6 has 8gb ram 128gb rom and Snapdragon 845 (refurbished)
The mi 9t has 6gb ram 128gb rom but snapdragon 730 (New)
Both look cool, oneplus is more powerful but is a refurbished, Mi 9t has a beautiful design and battery but is not as powerful as the OnePlus 6

Not sure what you ended up buying, but buying a renewed phone from amazon, you can always return it if it has defects. Recently my friend bought a renewed s9+ phone for $365, it was almost good as new with very very minor scratches you could only see under a bright light upclose and works perfectly! Hope you're happy with your purchase! :)

We need it to fold both ways. So if you open your wallet it's the tablet.when it's closed it's protected. But you can find the wallet all the way round so it's closed with your cards on the outside for phone mode
You should switch to this smartphone and give an extended review.

Really bad implementation of the fold mechanism imo. Doesn't seem too durable. I guess we'll just have to wait atleast 2 more years or at best till the next fold launches for this technology to actually take off.

I now many of you are shocked that it says to not fold alot though this is one of the very first models that supports this feature so these type of devices will probably improve over the years

I don’t know why they don’t make 2 screens with magnets on the back so can have them stick to each other for a normal phone feel, then some sort of magnet system on the side that snaps them together to turn into a tablet without the besil.

Why not just use two pieces of glass side by side and some sort of hinge mechanism at the top that way you can have a glass screen and fold it
