Not going to lie, this is kind of dope. We are living in the future.
I've tried it in person at MWC and it's shit. Unresponsive and UI is garbage. Does not work as a phone at all, they just had to get the product out there. I have to admit though, the way the screen flexes is pretty cool, but it feels shit and fragile.

Honestly, most of these things like this smart watch/phone is only being made by companies like Nubia because they have a very small audience and little to no attraction due to its lack of use. I don't see the Nubia Alpha being productive at all.

It's theoretical to go back in time if you move faster than the speed of light. There hasn't been anything proving that this is 100% though obviously.

It's more of a fashion accessory than a functional piece of hardware, that said it's still looks pretty cool.

In Europe its 450 EUR in black and 550 EUR with eSIM and 650 EUR in gold with eSIM. I guess pricing will be similar in the US (don't forget that prices in Europe already include VAT).

Because it's a smartphone/smart watch he went "stopwatch, hmm, useful" but if it was just a regular digital watch that had stopwatch it obviously won't be appealing.
We've finally hit the full cycle in technology.
I can see a strong usage for this. I think a v.2 or v.3 would be better refined. I can see it being used by Law Enforcement, Military, Exploration etc. Where having a tablet, smartphone or laptop would be cumbersome. It just needs broader functionality and refinement
I think many people will use this as it is sometimes tiring to carry a big smartphone all the time. If i had this i would leave my phone in car and walk around

You should do a lineup of the top smartwatches, and which phones to use with them. IE: Apple watch with the iPhone, Gear watch with the S10, and whichever works best for the Pixel, and Huawei. I've been looking to get a smartwatch for months now, but I have a Pixel and the only decent watches I can find to use with it are dated, and lose features when paired with it. For that reason I've actually been thinking of switching to the iPhone as my next phone, and hop back on the Apple train for simplicity.
I haven't used an iPhone since the 4s back in highschool. The whole "Android is more customizable" is only a good argument for people who actually use it, and have time to make all those changes. A lot of people use the "It's more customizable" argument, yet they never use any of the differentiating features from Apple. They just use it like any other phone. In the 8 years I've been on android, I've not once went through everything and tried to make changes beyond the basic wallpapers and theme settings.

Ever since I saw foldable screens this was the first use case for them IMO.
This is trying to be a conventional watch too hard though.
I think what they need to do with one of these is strap a screen with a width comparable to an iPhone 5 for it to be truly usable. Also, instead of a watch band, make a magnetic attachment with screens on it that can be easily and quickly removed from your wrist without moving parts and folded out to use as a phone immediately.
Of course battery life will suffer in this design, so to solve that just have an elegant portable charger that just snaps onto the back and wirelessly charges the device while it's sitting on your desk, and you can just put it right back on your wrist when it is time to go somewhere.

I think its called IS5 or just I5 than dem99 /98 it has 2.2in display biggest display and its removable so if you wanted to show a friend something you can pop it out.. best part its doesn't take a house payment to buy think the newest 1 is around $120

I would have loved if it had the interface of an actual smartphone, like using G-Mail and Hangouts and TH-cam and stuff. Now obviously they would have to get creative to achieve that but if someone does it then that would be one thing to buy. The externals are as best as they could be however.

Mosttechy the Apple Watch 3 and 4 already have e-sim to work independently from the iphone....if you are talking about curb displays they already using OLED on the watch and it just a matter of getting bendable glass. So what it is that they will sell after a few year? Since the product already exist today?
