So I have a set of these and I'm a little nervous about them not opening so I took one of them and figured I just sacrifice one to see how it worked should I be able to press the head into something hard like Stone and get the blades to deploy or does it have to be shot with high kinetic energy? Because just pressing the thing I can't get the damn blades to open
We noticed that too, but once hide goes in the mix the tip grabs ahold and deploys, which we seen deployment on both of our deer harvested this season with them but fear that tip design greatly reduces penetration on a deer, both deer died but both were not pass throughs
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA this would be a close range crossbow shot from my barnett whitetail pro str. I just care so much about putting them down quick. Im out of megameats and tight on money but have these expensive ass rifts just sitting here. I'm going to take one in my quiver and see if I feel good enough about using it. I have Magnus Stinger Buzz Cuts and the other arrows but if the shot is past 20 yards the damn things can catch the air too much from the high-speed bow and plane left or right
The rift from my experience will fly true and deploy with a big wound channel, they should pass through on a crossbow as well that’s a lot more momentum & speed that a compound bow
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA thx bro. I just killed a five point on Halloween it's one of the couple of videos I put on my Little Channel if you want to check it out. It's raw footage and I couldn't get down after I shot him because there was a couple other bucks Hanging On The Edge from me rattling
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA hey dude while I was behind a natural ground blind tonight a hawk came in and attacked a squirrel two feet away from me. I got it on video right after he landed and it was pretty shocking what happened. You can click on my name here I have just a few videos up but it's the newest one
