Thorn Broadhead Accuracy Test

- I wanted to see how the new Thorn Archery broadheads flew with field points, so I put together a little experiment.
For those that don't know, Thorn Broadheads are fully contained, so no blade is visible or sticking out while the arrow is in flight. Many broadhead manufacturers promise field-point accuracy, but this design looked like it might actually deliver.
To test them out, I shot the broadheads out of a bow that was not perfectly tuned. I used a PSE Evolve 28 with a Whisker Biscuit arrow rest that was only eyeballed. Just before shooting the broadheads, I shot one arrow through paper and got a slight low/left tear (I accidentally said high/right tear in the video). That would normally spell disaster with broadhead flight - at least in my experience.
You can see the results for yourself in the video, but I came away very impressed.

Thorn Broadheads Shot my public land deer with Thorn Broadheads this past fall.
I purchased these broad heads months ago. Im impressed with the flight but have not got to try them out an animal yet. Really looking 4wrd to it thow.
You should shoot 3 field point arrows at 40 and 50 so we know your regular groups and then with the broadhead to see the difference
You know I don't understand this Spitfire is been saying for over 10 years that they have got Field Point accuracy broadheads you have got the dead ringer Broadhead it says it right on the package Field Point designed for Field Point accuracy you got swhacker broadheads that are Field Point accuracy but then you guys grab a package of the thorn broadheads and now that's the only one that's Field Point accuracy what happened to all the other broadheads that say they are oh and then I forgot one more the Grim Reaper Broadhead is Field Point accuracy but I guess you guys have all forgot about those too
Many broadheads can be accurate with a perfectly tuned bow. But these are the first one's I've personally tested that shoot with field points even if the bow isn't set up perfectly. I drew no other conclusions other than that. I still have no idea how well they will cut, how they will deal with a shoulder shot or what kind of blood trail they will leave. I just tested accuracy out a bow that wasn't perfectly tuned. That's it. I did this not because that's how I set up my hunting rig, but because I think a lot of people who buy a bow online or from a big box store and don't have access to a bow press (or a shop with somebody who knows how to tune a bow properly) often don't have a great tune. If you'd like to send me some Grim Reapers or Swhackers, I'll gladly do the same test - I'm just not sure how they would do.

Ive shot 4 bucks with them and the blood trails were short and instant blood trail that ray Charles could follow they are the real deal ,, I shot my PB buck this passed yr 157 in 10 point didn't go 50 yds
I am worried about not having a 2 inch cut
much better accuracy should more than make up for that.

work on your shot placement and don't worry about cutting diameter.
Any update on these Broadheads?
There actually are a couple of fairly decent reviews of these broadheads online. This isn't one of them. I'd personally look elsewhere for good information.
If you're shooting another brand of broadhead except a Thorn, I would like to know why..? Thorn broadheads are #!.
Soooo that was way too much talk and not much by way of showing is how they worked while shooting from those distances
I have a pesky neighbor you can try them out on.
At Christmas time I can get him to wear a beanie with antlers. ;)
