I was in the Children's hospital in Birmingham Alabama when I was 17 a doctor poked a hole in my esophagus with an endoscopy camera, this was in my home town of Enterprise. I was rushed to the children's hospital in an ambulance, miraculously the hole had patched itself when I arrived in Birmingham but I was kept there for 2 weeks to let it heal. Listening to this just made me cry because they really do care about everyone. They brought in a Jack Russell terrier support dog to the building, and I told them that I was okay and there were babies who needed to see that puppy a lot more than I did, and they said they would come back around if they could and they did and it was really sweet. They care about everyone there and I thank them for saving my life.
If I ran a charity in Tampa: I'd hit up Bret for 40, and give him nice big plaque. Then when he showed up for the presentation, I'd pull out that statue of him petting the kid and tell him he can keep the plaque or have the statue dedicated to him for another 60.

I feel bad for him, I've had a few benders in the Marines and during the lockdown. By day four of heavily drinking your reality becomes distorted. You talk over people, and it's amplified heavily if you have ADD or ADHD. You become emotional easily and cry over nothing, you black out and survive nap to nap with bits of buzzed reality in between. You don't eat correctly and start poisoning yourself with shit foods on top of the drink itself. You don't realize it but during a blackout over time since your chemical balance is all messed up you say things you regret or wish you never said on top of telling "fun" stories a kind way of saying lies, usually all things you won't remember but regardless not healthy and destroys relationships over time. I'm 25 going on 26 and am aware of this, today is day 16 of not drinking. (I didn't realize it's 1 am so day 16 lol.)
I hope you're still sticking with it. I had a bender like that for about 4 years, constantly drunk, it was ugly. Good luck man, it gets easier and a helluva lot better.
