Flourish Excel: What Does It Do?

Seachem Flourish Excel has been baffling to us and other planted aquarium enthusiasts since its introduction. It looks like it's supposed to replace CO2 injection, but does it? In this video, Charles explains what he thinks is going on with this planted tank treatment and how it works to help your plants.

Great job Explaining!!! You are spot on! Did major research on Flourish Excel (had a bad BBA out break) Had my lights on for far to long and the intensity was way to high. Cut lights down to 7 hours total ( with a siesta) cut intensity of lights to 45% have been adding Flourish Excel when the lights come on (measured with a plastic syringe) and my plants are popping green. Also adding Seachem Flourish (measured properly) BBA almost totally gone.
