Back in O.C. Calif when I was 30 my wife heard a commercial on the radio about a P.F. show coming up. Knowing I am a Floyd fan she called the radio station (KMET - LA, “The Mighty Met”) to get information on the concert, The DJ on live radio Cynthia Fox…. said...."Congratulations, YOU are caller number 10, YOU just won tickets to the show and the Sound Check Party before the show"...
I met David Gilmour back stage. He gave us both a signed album that I have in my music room. We talked for 22 minutes. I called him…“The Master Of The Stratocaster” He smiled. I told him his music will stand the test of time with anything from Beethoven or Mozart. He smiled even bigger. I asked if I could shake both his hands that make such great guitar solos, he smiled bigger and said “Sure” and shook both hands at the same time, making a cross between us, I smiled HUGE. I asked him to describe his technique of playing guitar, he replied… “I strike a note, bend it, shake it and then release it”…. Yes, he does that quite well, better than any other guitarist I know. . I told him in my eyes he’s a “Legend“. He thanked me and said “Enjoy the show”…. during the concert after the song “Money” he looked right at me and said…. “On saxophone, another Legend, Mr. Raphael Ravenscroft” … acknowledging my comment to him. It is my favorite moment in over 300 shows I’ve seen.
I asked David…. How do you create those awesome solos?… he said….. I sit on a stool and listen to what Roger, Nick and Rick put down and play along. I listen to what I played and pick out what I like, then I put the pieces together into one piece then learn to play it as one. Our fans are fanatics for our shows to sound like the albums so I must play it correctly each time in a show. I have the concert Brochure and album on the wall with David’s picture centerfold.

Dark side of the moon is a concept album. "Us And Them" blends into the next track "any colour you like". Which is why the TH-cam clip you're using sounds like it stops abruptly. It doesn't if you listen to the album in it's entirety - which is recommended.
Also, the lyrics are amazing. It is about war, the elites that use the troops as cannon fodder, but also about other social ills and our collective apathy towards them.
    For example:
Haven't you heard it's a battle of words The poster bearer cried: Ideology and propaganda.
down and out there's a lot of it about: lots of homeless people out there, but hey! What ya gonna do?
Want of the price of tea and slice the old ma died: All we have to do is provide the basics for the poor, else risk they could die from starvation.
With , without And who'll deny it's what the fighting's all about? : Fighting over resources are what wars are often fought over.

"Forward he cried from the rear, and the front rank died." A beautiful song with a powerful message. R.I.P. Rick Wright (keyboards). The next song on the album (Dark Side of the Moon) "Any Colour You Like" is also amazing.

Dark Side of the Moon is one of those albums where you really need to listen to it all together from start to finish to get the full and intended effect. All the songs run together as one continuous piece of music, with the only break being between the songs "The Great Gig in the Sky" and "Money", which is where you flip the vinyl record over. Also, if you've never heard of the "Dark Side of Oz" thing, you should Google it and consider checking it out. It was a fun "teenage stoner" thing my friends and I liked to do back in the day.

War plays a big part in Pink Floyd's material because of the huge inter-generational impact the 2 world wars had. The lyrics of Us and Them were written by bass player Roger Waters. I saw a documentary about him on his "The Wall" concert tour of Europe a few years ago which showed him with his grandchildren visiting the war grave of his father, who was killed in action in WWII when Roger was a young boy, & the war grave of his grandfather, who was killed in action in WWI when Roger's father was a young boy.

The timeless words which most seem to forget is ALWAYS behind the bloodshed:
    "With...Without,
    And who'll deny...
It's what the fighting's all about!"
    The Have's and Have Not's.
Those lines that are moving could be on a battlefield, or waiting for food to survive.

The ending may sound weird because it is actually from the album. In fact the album should be listened to by it's entirety. Basically meaning that every single song from the Album "The Dark Side of The Moon" smoothly transitions into the next song. The so called "segue" from one song into another without a pause. That is why it sounded weird.
    Great reaction🔥

Each song flows into the next so when you separate them, you just have to cut them off.

Watched a lot of different reactors do Pink Floyd and what I noticed most is it's very hard to react to almost any PF song without closing your eyes at some point! Makes you want to just recline back, close your eyes, and let it wash over you.

In my view, The Old Man died from need.
Not enough for food and beverage.
Dismissed by the faster less patient Youngster.
Too concerned with their programmed nonsense to recognize their future could be seen in the same broken mirror they'd just blown past.

This is why Pink Floyd is one the greatest and considered genius music....because we all over the years gets hit by them exactly like you get hit by them my friend.....they show us no matter what who or the times, we are all still the same....but yeah guys wrong ending by far

Itcend3d like that because it bleeds into the next song. U HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE WHOLE ALBUM in one sitting.

It runs into the next song, so it's a forced ending.

It did'nt end like that, you did'nt listen to the end because the whole LP is alltogether one song. Its not your falt, you have been cheated by the the one who released it.
