I had a very similar experience with the staff when I arrived at hospital with my accidental homebirth at 36+6 weeks. They wanted to take all kinds of procedures including blood tests in the NICU even though my baby came out perfect without any medical assistance. He was 1 day pre-term according to their given due date & I refused to have his first day in the world be one of any form of stress after coming into it so peacefully hearing only his parents voices & having only our hands upon him. Some were rude & some were supportive by giving us space but I ended up becoming their guinea pig because I had a virus & low blood pressure & after the cascade of misinformation I got & being misled to consent to treatment I am so glad I didn't put my baby through what they put me through. It is unbelievable how much people in the medical field lie in order to get their job done & I experienced that first hand after they told me I may not leave their hospital alive if I didn't consent. All I needed was a lot of hydration through IV & this was not offered to me until after I consented to the other unnecessary interventions & others I never had informed consent of before they were administered. I get that these people are trying to help us, but they are not above us & they do not know us better than we know ourselves.
God bless you for all the information. This is the shortest contraction I have had. I gave birth 3 hours after I felt the first contraction and 30 minutes after I got to the hospital with one push. All praise to God
Thank you for the information you have taken the time to put out. 😊 🌹 You're helping a lot of mamas! First time mom here!! My beautiful baby girl was delivered at 42 weeks 2 days! I refused to get induced and decided to let my body do what it has been naturally designed to do. I started having what I thought were Braxton Hicks contractions on Friday 7/19/24 after 9pm and gave birth after 5pm the next day(because I delayed). I had no idea what to expect and as time went on, the contractions intensified to the point where I was unable to talk or walk and at that point I knew it was active labor. I had absolutely zero control & even thought my vagina was prolapsing, but that was just a sign that the baby was ready to come out. After 3-4 vigorous contractions and seeing too much blood for my comfort, we decided to go to the hospital, which was 2 minutes away. I gave birth within 5 minutes of arrival! God is good! 🎉
It is really important to have videos like this highlighting peple's freedom who are coaxed into decisions so often that they may not even be connected to their own lfe choices and be numb as a result or could be disconnected. I had an interaction with a midwife recently that put me in total freeze mode shock. I wanted to leave because I felt happy with results in a hospital check up, without further check with the doctor. After a very long appointment and waiting period, I said I was leaving, gave my reasons and She told me that I could not leave. That I need someone to check me out. I said it was my decision to go now and I will sign out whatever I need to do. I reiterated, calmy, that it was my decision, said I will be walking out etc. She made me feel like my body was not mine, that I had no soverighty over my own body. She said different things, lying to me when she saw I was not changing my mind to her will. She then tried to coerce me into staying by using manipulation that they had my chart. It was horrible. She was so stern and spoke with such conviction that made me feel like I was held at gunpoint and forced to stay, it was so abusive and horrible. I said I would wait some minutes, I couldn't respond after that, everything was slow, when the Dr finally arrived to do a second check in with me, and soon after I cried deeply from this experience, it was so traumatic. I felt alliance with how people have descvribed the contrlling environment of 1940's psychiatric hospital settings as described. This is abuse on the human spirit. Noone - NoBody has authority over your mind, body or soul like you do. May Noone make you feel like you have not first decision authority over your own body! Some weeks later another scenario came up where I decided to leave against the recommendation of a midwife. This midwife was honest and gave some time to discussing back and forth their knowledge/opinion with my knowledge/opinion/experience and spoke in terms of 'we recommend' rather than ' you CAN'T', so I left without my sovereignty abused. THIS is as far as this interaction should be, between two individuals. Not the first experience.
I REALLY APPRECIATE YOU MAKING THIS VIDEO!!! I JUST FOUND YOU GIRL! I'm 9 weeks tomorrow 🥰🥰🥰🥰🤰🏽💞🎉 thank you for advocating for me mom's and veteran moms. We need the real because they don't want us to have healthy children and they want to hurry out bodies in the process😞💔 thank you for the information. I'm gonna watch all of your videos lol
Aww you’re welcome mama! I got you and all mamas who want to know the truth about this process. You deserve all the information you need to make the decisions best for you and baby 🫶🏽. So glad you’re here!
Im so grateful for my current provider, who has been very supportive in my journey. I had her for my first baby and have her for my second. She always states that it is entirely up to me if i would like a cervical exam or not. I had her check at my 40wk with my first and she gambled that we might see a baby that same night and she got it on the money. I went into the hospital merely hours later that same day and baby was born at 3am. She's humble about it, though, and admits that it's really just a guess on intuition and that she's been wrong just as many times as she's been right. She just thinks it's fun to guess so long as her patients are comfortable with it. :) Im doing a cervical check on my 40wk checkup for this one, too, out of curiosity as well. Hoping maybe the same thing will happen again. Lol. But completely okay if it doesnt.
Hello ! Thank you for this video ❤ Also just so that you are aware , the audio is very low on these videos, I’m struggling to hear. Thank you for fixing it .
I had an epidural with my first (not doing it again. The needle was worse pain than the contractions.) what happened in my experience was that I felt like I had to poop and it turned out that it meant it was time to start pushing.
Hello sis am new in my area, and my preparing for vbac bcoz i lost my previous pregnancy at 36 week and the baby was brought out through c section but i want vbac this time , but i was new in England and my area, how do i get midwife and people that we help me on this journey this time, what should i do.
Please figure out your sound Your videos are half the volume of everything else on this platform, makes it very frustrating to watch I have to crank the volume at up then if I forget before watching the next... the TV is suddenly SCREAMING at me and my sleeping newborn, not exactly helpful!
I don’t see where the volume issue is, I watched literally ALL of her videos w/ raggedy AirPods that barely work… sound is completely fine. But not invalidating your issue but I just don’t see it and wish you addressed it in a kinder way… remember nobody is perfect & yes constructive criticism helps but there’s a way to go about it

What are the ways they check the station of the baby?

Thank you so much for this. Listening to you makes me feel at peace. ❤
This content came timely 🙏🏼❤❤
Can one begin breast milk pumping few days ahead of delivery to enable you lactate as soon as put to birth??
What’s the most a babies heart rate can drop before a c section is medically necessary?
Also what’s the max it could be?
Thank You for this!!!
If you’re in an Induced state/epidural will you feel your body voluntarily push?
I had an epidural with my first (not doing it again. The needle was worse pain than the contractions.) what happened in my experience was that I felt like I had to poop and it turned out that it meant it was time to start pushing.
