  • this Cub cadet belongs to a friend of my wife. it's been in their family for a very long time. years ago it stopped running and then sat in a garage. about a week ago I aired up the tires and brought it to my home to work on it. the owner said she wants it to run and mow again so her son can use it. let's dive in and see what kind of shape this old tractor is in and if there's any life left in it. thank you for watching and God bless you.

That International Harvester tractor are good tractors, I had a 1966 model 102 that is still going around, very easy to work on, it had/ has a glass bowl where you can see the gasoline, of course you could get differentve1uipment like a bulldozer front to remove dirt, snow lights front & back among many other equipment.

Enrique they can be very good machines and versatile there's no doubt. Most everyone I see is abused and totally worn out. I'm thankful you enjoyed the video thank you for watching and God bless

Hi Greg I just wanted to reach out and ask you if you tried that nail balancing the blade trick If the connecting rod did break and there’s no internal damage on the block replace the connecting rod as well worth it

Steve I haven't tried it yet but I will. Haven't done any work on blades yet. Thankfully the Kohler rod was intact, exhaust valve was rusted and the firing ring for the head gasket was bad. It looks like it ran real hot the last time it ran. I'm hoping it's salvageable. Thank you for watching God bless.

I have been working on lawn equipment for over 65 years- I love working on the old stuff. They made things to last- unlike now. the equipment they make now- most of it is trash

Army I have to agree with you there. There's a reason you see so many cast iron k series Kohler engines still running today they definitely made things simpler and to last. The new ones with their thin metal and aluminum engines won't last near as long. Thank you for watching and God bless.

You don't know any thing about engine ,s first you said the rod was broken. Then you said the exhaust valve was stuck ,Then you had another burrito

Mike lol 🤣 your comment just made me laugh so hard. I said it may have a broken rod or it may have a stuck exhaust valve I couldn't tell until I got the head off because I couldn't see the piston through the plug hole. It did have a stuck exhaust valve once I got the head off and it was pretty evident that the engine had been overheated. I didn't go get another burrito was just suffering from the effects of the same one lol 🤣 I definitely don't claim to be a master engine guru but I know enough to get by and help people out. If you know more than I do how about you share some of your knowledge with me because I'd definitely appreciate it. Always willing to listen and learn.thank you for watching . Hope you have a blessed day. God bless.
