Vespa Engine Build SIP BFA 306 Touring Version - Episode 4

The SIP BFA 306 engine for Vespa largeframe models is already a legend for many. Performance beyond 70 hp like our "SIP Something Special" racer is possible with the SIP BFA high-tech components. But is such an engine also suitable for an everyday scooter? A touring, full throttle, reliable and comfortable to drive Vespa scooter with approx. 50 PS power and a lot of torque? You will be allowed to dream again?

In fact, the SIP BFA engine is an ideal basis for such powerful but durable setups. All components are heavily oversized, the engine offers a lot of torque - we want to equip a Vespa PX with a tame version of the SIP BFA engine and drive it from the SIP headquarters in Landsberg over the Alps and through Italy to Corsica in summer!
In episode 4 we assemble the reed valve with the inlet manifold as well as the clutch and mount the final kickstarter.

Tbh I could watch this chap build engines all day, he’s so laid back it’s actually relaxing🤷🏻I’d have no problems letting him build me an engine..as long as I could watch😁 306cc coming up

drehmomentschlüssel zum kupplung anziehen darf man auch, bzw ganz besonders beim bfa verwenden.

Hallo Jesco, ich fahre den BFA 306 und bei längeren Fahrten fällt mir die Kupplungshand ab... ich habe daraufhin den Crimaz Kupplungstrennpilz verbaut, der sich aber sehr schnell verabschiedet hat. Kann man die eine oder andere Feder austauschen oder entbehren ? Der Motor ist nicht gepimpt und hat 41,3 PS und 42,8 Nm bei 6047 Umdrehungen.
