    💎 Check the Casey mock tests provided by the developer of BCG's Casey chatbot (paid solution): crackcasey.youinconsulting.com/
    The BCG Online Case Experience you will need to master if you want to join the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). The Casey chatbot interview replaces the former BCG Potential Test. In BCG’s new online case format, “Casey”, a virtual chatbot interviewer, takes you through a business case interview.
    In this video, I first contrast the “old” BCG Potential Test with the new BCG Online Case, and break down for you what to expect whichever test BCG requires you to take in the local BCG office that you apply to. Drawing on lessons from my video on how to master the McKinsey Problem Solving Game Imbellus as well as on my Casey-specific advice, I provide you with strategies to help you improve your BCG Online Case Experience performance. I furthermore offer you three very hot tips for your BCG Online Case preparation - make sure not to miss those!! Spoiler alert: They include links to (un-)official Casey mock tests for your BCG Online Case preparation… ⭐
    In the fourth part of the video, I have prepared for you an interactive BCG Online Case training session to help you get familiar you with the common test questions and challenges. I hope that this practice session helps you to get ready for your BCG Online Case Experience!
    As usual, I have added some fun parts to the video, mocking the rivalry between McKinsey and BCG, and having some fun interactions with Casey, the chatbot… 😄😉

      Hello, I hope that you will answer my comment. What does it mean when the chatbot asks you questions to further explain how you got the answer on a numerical question. Is it a positive or negative thing?

    • @YOUinConsulting
      @YOUinConsulting  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@slymanmustafa134 Hi Slyman, sure! I actually address the question you raise at minute 6:10 of the video, do you see it? If Casey asks you to further elaborate on an answer, that is normal because it sometimes wants to understand the reasoning behind your answer. So what you have experienced, is just a normal thing.
      With regards to what I call the "are you sure" questions (see in the video!), Casey either honestly wants to get you back on track or sets a trap - like a real interviewer!

    At Question 9, min 35:40, I don't understand where do you get the initial 2300 liters you use in the solution. For me, in the Nadi facility, we know from data in Question 7 that they produce 8000 liters per 560 work hours, so an additional 80 hours will give you 1124 extra liters produced, not 2300. Where did you get 2300? --- Got the video Addendum now by reading another comment now.

    I have just received a pass for the chatbot case and I am gonna move to the next round. The case is indeed very hard. For non-English speakers, we need to practice the English skills and try to process a lot of information in a very short time. A tip is that there is a gap between the video session and the case session, where you can relax as long as you can. Try to relax and sum up what you have learned from the case before checking the video question and clicking the "start recording" button. But I guess if you struggle to get a few questions right at least, it is still possible to pass.

    • @YOUinConsulting
      @YOUinConsulting  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Tina! First, congratulations to passing this hurdle, this is great!!! Thank you so much for sharing about your experience as well as your piece of advice! Yes, the Casey interview is hard even for native or fluent English speakers. I do not want to imagine how it is for somebody who has few opportunities to speak English regularly. Your tip to take a good break to "cool down" between case and video summary and to prepare your summary is good! I will pass it on in the future, too 🙂 Now I keep my fingers crossed for your personal interview rounds! Best wishes from Europe, Jack ❤

    I am a bit confused about question 5, " if the salesforce sold add all Cola at minimum price", why are we still using average price of the store when calculating the profit of the store? In other words, I will assume that profit equals to 0 given that the product is sold as the minimum price? Thank you!

    • @YOUinConsulting
      @YOUinConsulting  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Zhuhan, it says in the first sentence of question no 5: "the minimum price for the sales force is calculated to allow a certain share of profit for the stores". I think this is meant in the sense that even at this minimum price Fiji Cola still makes a profit when selling to the stores (the distributors), namely the 1.12 $ "minimum price" minus the 0.80 $ production cost (profit margin per litre: 0.32 $).
      The profit of the stores is then determined by the final selling price (i.e. the price charged from the end consumers).

    • @GDyoutube2022
      @GDyoutube2022 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@YOUinConsulting I also share some doubts about Question 5 - Take North for simplicity:
      -Store "retail" price is 1.50$
      -Price of Fiji sales rep to the store is 1.22$
      -Fiji minimum selling price is 1.12$
      -Fiji cost is 0.80$
      In the solution Store profit is 1.50 minus 1.12 and Fuji profit is 1.12 minus 0.80.
      However, this implies that the sales rep price to the store is not relevant, which makes me question why Fiji is paying a commission for extra price at all!
      Instead, I assumed that Store profit is 1.50 minus 1.22 and Fuji profit is 1.22 minus 0.80. This way Fiji incentive for its reps to push 1.22 as high as possible makes sense to me.
      Is there anything I am missing?
      Thanks again - really great video!

    • @YOUinConsulting
      @YOUinConsulting  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GDyoutube2022 I understand your reasoning. I would not combine questions 4 and 5 here though. In Q4 indeed average prices charged to the stores are given, but question 5 is introduced with "if the sales force sold all cola at minimum price", so in my view this is just an assumed alternative scenario.
      Your thinking is good, but you may be overthinking on this instance 🙂

    In question 5 I used an average of the "average store price per litre" that is equals to 1.5 (their prices and volumes are similar so there is not a problem with this estimation) then this result minus the cost 1.5 - 0.8 = 0.7 is the total profit per litre, and we have 1.5 - 1.12 = 0.38 that is the stores profit per litre. Finally, 0.38 is the 54% of 0.7 :D

    In the second half of the video, the case outline outlines problem with declining market share and an objective to work out how much potential cola can be sold across Fiji. But this case ends with a recommendation to increase employees at their least efficient plant to maximize profit (which is short term)? The recommendation is unrelated to the problem presented. Am I missing anything?

    • @YOUinConsulting
      @YOUinConsulting  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hahaha 😂 You are so right! The Fiji Cola story serves a vehicle to string together a series of partially unrelated test questions, and they together indeed do not constitute a coherent business case, where as you say the "final recommendation" should be somehow related to the initial problem statement. Well spotted, and I believe you will make a good consultant once you survive the online tests! 😉 Best, Jack

      @@olaniranbashiratabimbola1906 I would never just apply and give it a shot, because by this you diminish your odds. You should definitely invest time to prepare at least for this kind of tests. You compete with candidates who prepare thoroughly. Still, of course a lucky shot can work occasionally, but that's not the "safe" route. Thank you for your video, It's very helpful!
    I do have a question related to #9: "make a profit of 42c per litter"
    Since: Profit = Rev - Cost
    Why do you still have to take the (total profit = 42c * Q) - Cost again ?
    Wouldn't that make 42c the revenue instead of "profit?"

    • @YOUinConsulting
      @YOUinConsulting  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Phuong! Yes, you are spot on and I 100% agree. I make a comment related to that at 35:41 in the video. It is best to consider the 42c as the product price, so price x quantity indeed constitutes revenue. If it truly was "profit", then it would not anymore make sense to subtract additional cost.
      By the way, I hope you are aware that there was a glitch at question no 9 (production data is missing) and checked out the Part 2 video in which I supplied the missing data 🙂
      Good luck with your further preparation! 👍
      Best wishes, Jack

    • @botmxt
      @botmxt 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@YOUinConsulting arent they talking about how much extra profit they would make which means the question is correct because 42c is the profit from the current staff. Now when you hear any more staff and get incremental profit will be further offset by the additional cost from hiring 2 more staff. So the term profit is correct

    • @YOUinConsulting
      @YOUinConsulting  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@botmxt Well, using the term "profit" in this context has confused already two people at least, so I do not find it ideal 😉 If you talk about "profit", it should be net profit after consideration of all cost. The "profit" here is something between gross profit, product price or a profit margin... just a little imprecise in my opinion. Anyway, good business debate 👍🏼
