nice setup. it would be cool to set that up with a quick hook up on a trailer for loading the drag car especially when you break it and can't drive it on lol
ya perfect. that harbor freight 12,000 lb unit is not a bad deal. some things at harbor freight are junk usually the stuff that is really cheap. . you buy cheap you get cheap lol
Thanks for the video and I like to see more if how you mounted it the steel to front of your truck. Im trying to do something like that in my ford ranger
Yeah if I ever take my front bumper off again I was planning to shoot some more footage of it. But nothing real special. Just welded some Steel across the front of the frame
NoNonsenseKnowHow Yup...mistake on my part. Hey, your video was great. I’m in the process of doing the same thing on my Sequoia and Land Cruiser. I like your mechanical style
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow It is a plug that are made for connecting the cables of winches and jumper cables. among other things. It takes two to make a connection. They have them for different ratings. You won't have to disconnect the wires from the battery. Just unplug, take to the back and plug into the battery back there.
Oh okay yeah that would be a good call! I use something similar for my jump pack when connecting it to my ATV. I don't leave a battery in the ATV and I just use the jump pack on it. It's like a forklift battery charger style connector
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow I have a cradle for my 3500lb HF winch and that thing weighs at least 30 lbs. So moving that around with the battery still connected is not gonna happen LOL. I use a separate battery like you have in the back there. I move the winch from back of truck to trailer to trailer and to tow dolly. Those plugs make the job easier.
Really cool setup! I’m going to try something similar on my 2005 sequoia.
Perfect setup for what you’re doing 😊
Cool I have same truck, just need the front hitch. Side note or a new exhaust today, sounds so nice
Thank you so much sir I really do appreciate this video and this set up is perfect for the rust belt state that I live in.
Nam Squad Outdoors no problem man! Glad you found it helpful. I followed your build on Instagram by the way.
NoNonsenseKnowHow thanks man I have some frame work to do anyways so it will be put in when that is getting worked on
Can u use any old grease on those wire connections? Or need something special?
From my experience any old grease is fine. I personally use belray waterproof grease on everything though. It doesn't stink
I thought it was funny when you said, keep a cover on it to keep the water out of it, lol. It did go swimming😅

colt ACP yeah for sure, I actually have a receiver on my current car trailer and drag all sorts of stuff up on it

Wow Chris, you look so young 😂
You should really look into getting some Anderson Plugs. They will really make a difference.
Haven't heard of it. What's that?

What brush guard is that?
nice
hello, I have a 2017 Tundra can I do the same thing but use my rear with the tow package already that has the receiver,! thanks
Yeah I'm sure you could do the same thing. The easiest thing is to get a store-bought front hitch. Or make your own
