    It’s nice to see you work! It’s obvious that you enjoy what you do! It’s good!

    I just relocated my 2005 4-runner rear diff breather valve.
    When I loosened the old one it sounded like opening a soda can!
    In my hand, the old one looked to be original. It was absolutely stuck, like welded shut by age.
    I’m researching my front diff now but I’ve heard it’s not as likely to be bad.
    Not good enough, I need to check it.
    If I can find it. 👍

      My guess is it was blocked not breathing and built up negative pressure inside somehow. I’d do a differential oil change so you know that there’s no water in there

    I was just wondering Looking at your suspension you only have like 2 inches of articulation on the fox shock does it bottom out often

      This is on my list to address. I honestly have not had it bottom out but to be safe I am going to swap them out or relocate the mounting points. I am considering buying a set of the 8" of those Fox 2.0 because unfortunately they don't make a 9".

    That’s awesome man, it’s funny because I’m planning to do this on my tundra this weekend lol! Got the parts today from Amazon actually. Using 5/16 x 7’ fuel line and that same vent cap your using it looks like. Just extended my brake/abs line with the coachbuilder kit which works well if you need to do that.

      Thanks for watching man! I'll have to look into the couch Builder kit. I do have can extended rear flexible brake line waiting to go in once I do my Lexus GX 460 brake upgrade.

      @@EvergreenOverland Sweet! Have you talked about your leaf springs yet? I can't remember. I also have an AT camper on mine and just ordered the Icon AAL. Says it doesn't add any spring rate, but adds 1.5" of lift. You remove the 2 secondary springs and add the icon mini pack (3 leafs) back in between the stock main and overload spring. I have the pro suspension (leveled out) so with the camper it sags about 1" in the rear but it still rides real good on trails/FS roads. Hoping the Icon aal gets me back up to level or slight rake along with the coachbuilder shackles. Once I wear out the stock suspension with the aal, I will get something nicer like kings and new custom leaf packs from Alcan or Deaver for my final weight after adding steel bumpers. Hopefully this setup will last 1-2 years until then!

      I don't think I have. It's an archive garage overland leaf pack. They stopped producing it shortly after I purchased it. A few of us first gen Tundra guys are running them. They sit pretty level and ride great offroad with the weight of the habitat and gear.

    Why make this mod when you should be replacing the valve every 40-50K miles?

    • @EvergreenOverland
      @EvergreenOverland  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The purpose is to move it out to a location less likely to be submerged in a water crossing situation. I didn’t know they should be replaced on the regular. Thanks for the info!

    • @EvergreenOverland
      @EvergreenOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1
