    Good Morning, I have a question concerning waterslide decals and sealing on a tumbler. I have a laser printer, laser waterslide decal paper, and ordered some white tumblers that are also sublimation tumblers (just happened to work out that way). I was wondering if I could oven cure these and do I need a completely separate oven to cure than my home oven? Is it the sublimation mug that gives off fumes or the actual sublimation print out (which I am not using).
    I know most people use epoxy but I'm not sure I want to go down that avenue just yet. I love watching your channel and is most definitely one of my "go to" for information and education.

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Epoxy is the best sealing method. It is the sublimation process that gives off fumes. So the ink becoming a gas then fusing with the coating.

    Great tutorial! Have a question: I did a glitter tumbler and sealed with epoxy. I want to put on a water slide and then bling the slide. Is it absolutely necessary to re-epoxy? Or, can I just bling over the slide when it's dry? My concern is that another coat of epoxy will make it thick and heavier. That with the rhinestones will be bulky. Is there a work around for this process?

      I don't think so. The baking is at a low heat and basically dries them out.

    I bought printable waterslide decal paper, printed on it then tried to put it in my cricut and the cricut nearly exploded (not really) trying to find the registration marks and refused to cut it and it threw off all the cuts of other projects.

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is because it is glossy. When you do the sealer, you can use a matte sealer and that usually fixes it. Or you can put matte tape over the black lines.

    • @vampiregoat69
      @vampiregoat69 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AngieHolden this is without any sealer on it I have to draw over the lines with a black sharpie just to get it to read

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct. Because the paper is glossy. I would put the sealer on first so it is not shiny or go over the top with matte tape. The sensor is getting a reflection from the glossy surface and it can't see your lines.

    Hi everyone, can I get some help? :/ I am having massive printing issues. My printer leaves scratch marks all the time and sometimes the print is totally unusable. My printer back feed uses wheels that make contact with the ink on the paper and leave marks, and my front feed keeps bumping into curved or elevated surfaces on the paper, scratching the ink. Does anyone know how this can be solved?
    Many thanks in advance :)
