I do realize this video is a few months old, but man it helped a lot. Been using CD for water slides and have been so frustrated because I lose so much material. I knew there had to be a better way to print and you hit it on the head, I actually printed mine with your video and was so easy. Thank you for doing what you do! keep it up, I'm now watching!! lol

Yes!! But also, someone sent me a link to a video that shows that you can now use the beta option in cricut to print and cut as large 13x19! Game changer for anyone with a cricut

Hello, Can you use sublimation ink for water slides… very nice
Thank you! Sublimation ink will bot be vibrant enough. Sub ink will also look dull until heat is introduced to the print therefore the waterslide would look dull and not very bright
Thanks for this love ❤️ This video is great! My question has always been how long can we hold water slides? I usually print two because just in case one messes up so I end up having some extra so I put them in a folder and honestly forget about them 😩 🤦🏽♀️ so when I do find them, it can be a couple months and I’m like can I use them?!?! I really like the white waterslide. They look great. I’m always struggling with a bleach spot 😂 to add a waterslide on a darker background. I LOVE the cup. The roses are beautiful 😍 thanks for teaching us! stay blessed love 🥰
Yes I mean i have used mine up to a couple of months after and they have worked just fine! Not sure how long they truly last but I think I might do some testing and see how long they last or if there is any deterioration after a certain period of time

I want to put a picture on a matte finish tumbler from Walmart. I want the picture to cover the whole tumbler except the silver lips on the top and bottom. Would water slide paper work on the matte finish of the tumbler? I have never used water slide paper before. Thanks.
Yes that could work! I would prep the cup with a gloss clear spray paint before yiu apply your waterslide. Sometimes the matte feeling can make the edges show more under epoxy of your waterslide
Did you have to seal your image after applying the water slide?
Nice work, congrats! 👏 Is using a flat brush like you do enough to ensure that little tiny bubbles don't get stuck under the decal once dried? Becaise I'm having this issue myself.
Yes!! Using a flat brush is the best way to help get out the air and bubbles at the water trapped under the waterslide. You can find them in the make up section of your local dollar tree!

hello escuse me, i am from Mexico sorry my English, a question for you cause I am a beginner, do you know how long takes to be out the decal paper? it stays long time, I mean, for example like using all days, and wash it, hoy long its their timelife?

Hi there! So that depends if you seal it with epoxy. In this video I sealed the whole cup with epoxy so it will last for years. If I did this on a coffee cup and baked it on. It would last a good while but eventually it would start to crack and peel like any other printed on mug over time with daily use.
Can you use any mug? Do I have to prep it?
You can use any mug. If you are going to epoxy I would prep bit of you are using a ceramic mug and just baking the waterslide on than you don’t need to prep other than to clean the mug .
Hi this is very helpful. My question is can I wash the cup in dishwasher? How long does the design hold on the cups please?
You cannot put epoxy cups in the dishwasher as it will ruin your epoxy and the design. These cups should be hand washed only. If you applied waterslide to a mug and baked per the direction it’s the same thing recommended to hand wash only because the high heat of a dishwasher can ruin your design
Hi Lysha. Do you know that if you switch to beta on cricut design space. That you can print then cut as large as 13 X 19? Been seeing all kinds of videos on it in the last 3 days.
Ya know someone actually just shared a video on this with me! I haven’t had a chance to check it out but it sounds like a total game changer and no more wasting your printable paper!

Can you use a sublimation printer to print your water slides?
So sublimation ink is for when you are going to apply heat to an item that is for sublimation. From what I know about sublimation ink, that ink appears duller on paper and becomes vibrant when pressed with ink. Since waterslide paper would not be able to withstand heat I would think that the image would look dull and possibly not as vibrant.

Yes you can use any inkjet or laser printer for printing your waterslides
Can the cup go in the dishwasher?
No any epoxied items should be hand wash only
Would this work on wood?
As long as the surface is smooth and glossy yes!

Yes this can be drank right out of. It’s sealed with epoxy so it’s long lasting as well
