    Great video. I have just got the fairy flesh set after watching your other videos but think I need to start getting some washes as well!!

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea washes can help. For skin tones though you can get away without washes for now. Just working on getting the tones you like and learning how to adjust them by adding more of one colour than the other.

    Great video thanks, is there a difference between using varnish or lacquer to seal with please?

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Um I’d like to say that a lacquer is more durable. But honestly I don’t know this for sure.

    Can you use any purple and yellow for the highlights? R does it have to be the same ones that you use? Im a beginner with airbrushing

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kinda. Look for a pinkish purple or make one and the yellow just needs to be as yellow as possible with no white in it if possible.

    do you use the hycote Matt lacquer straight out the can or through your air brush

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Straight from the can. Don’t spray it thick though light misting is all you need

  • @unameableone
    @unameableone 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Another great video! Hey Brent what are you running for PSI on your airbrush when you are painting faces? Particularly when you are using the thinner layers

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I drop to around 18 ish but really I don’t actually use a specific psi cos some colours and brands require different pressure little more little less and thinning isn’t an exact science for me either. I just kinda go off feel. So it’s spotting then probs needs either thinning or pressure up. Hope that helps

  • @bluediablito
    @bluediablito 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Once you are done painting do you seal everything with a lacquer? Or how do you keep the paint from coming off if it falls or gets scratches?
    One last question....
    3 layers in of paint and you make a mistake. How do you remove the mistake and save the 3 good layers? Is there a layer that is painted to save the progress?

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I do put a clear coat on. To be honest though I haven’t found one that prevents scratching completely. If I made a mistake depending how far along there’s a chance to remove the paint with a bit of water before it dries or if it’s too far gone then you got to repaint using the same steps and blend in each layer.
