    Incase you're stressed by the π measurements,
    Full circle= circumference ÷ 6.28
    ¾ circle = circumference ÷ 4.71
    Half circle= circumference ÷ 3.14
    One- quarter circle =circumference ÷ 1.57
    For the other full circles, just multiply 6.28 by the number i.e
    3 full circles= circumference ÷ (6.28×3)
    = Circumference ÷ 18.84

    Thank you for making such a detailed tutorial. I've been trying to do the maths for a 3/4 circle skirt and I've ended up confusing myself. Can I ask, why do you multiply c/2pi by 4/3 instead of 3/4 given that I am making a 3/4 circle? Sorry if this is a silly question. My brain has turned to mush.

    • @awopegbaboluwatife7481
      @awopegbaboluwatife7481 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hannah McIntosh, the reason is that the circumference doesn't change, but your radius changes, so you will always multiply on 2Πr side, so that's where you multiply your 3/4 , so buy the time you cross multiply making r the subject of the formula, the 4 goes up and the 3 goes down.
      C= 3/4(2Πr)
      make r the subject of the formula
      r=C(4/3)/2Π

    Hello! Are my calculations right? Waist 37...I calculated 58 as radius. Also, I'm confused on how to get the length. I'm about 5'3 and want it to go down to my calf which is about 25in from waist to calf

      your calculations are wrong, your radius can't be as much as that figure (58). for a full circle, radius= 37/2×3.142 =5.89, so ur radius is approximately 5.9"

      the skirt length will be 25"

      Radius 5.89" is almost 6", but not exactly

      just input your waist measurement in d formula given to you,(radius =circumference÷ 2×3.142). where the circumference is your waist measurement.watch the video carefully it is explanatory, thanks
